KW is at 901 now, His peak was 919. SRT’s peak is 899 and Dravid’s is 892.. India’s best is Kohli at 937

Doesn’t make sense, these rankings give more weightage to recency and western players

Not really, there's a formula for it. We are living in a low batting average era (unlike the noughties) so similar averages can get higher points

I am sure there is someone out there who is smart enough to write code to normalize them to some index.  Ya know ... like they might do in the finance world:  "1 crore today is the same as 1 lakh in 1980."

it depends on scoring large scores back to back. kane scored like 3 double centuries in 4 tests last year against WI and Pak. Sachin and Dravid never had a series like that

SRT never had any big series that is why he never reach higher ratings. He was steady eddy rather being a match winner who could carry his form and dominate a series.

Richards had 935 rating  ,so this nonsense that somehow Sachin got denied higher ratings is ridiculous. He never had performances to get those ratings.

Bradman 961

Steve Smith 947 !!!!

Each point is exponentially more difficult at the higher ends. That 14 point gap is worth way more than 700 and 720

Still very impressive.
