Babar/Rizwan/Fawad - who is best test batsman in PCT?

Rizwan is clearly better of the 3. Played well against England. Babar is a stat padder and a Minnow Basher. Well Fawad is a joke of a player against spin. If someone like Ashwin bowls 10 overs  at him, chances are he will get out to him every over.

Both Babar and Rizwan are not great FC batsmen, so unlikely that they will avg higher than low 40s in test cricket.

But considering that Rizwan is a WK, he is great asset for the team with that kind of batting talent.

Babar

Matches: 35

Runs: 2329

Avg: 43.13

100s: 5

Rizwan

Matches: 17

Runs: 904

Avg: 41.09

100s: 1

Fawad

Matches: 13

Runs: 895

Avg: 47.11

100: 5

Fawad hasn't played in Australia &,  had a mediocre outing in Eng.

Rizwan & Babar meanwhile have done well there.

That being said he probably has couple more years of good cricket left in him.

I like Fawad. Hardworking guy like Dravid and Chanderpaul. Hope he succeeds.

Babar will be like Kohli 2.0. He is in form now but will slowly lose it. He should milk his form as much as possible like how Kohli did when he was at his peak.

Rizwan - Not seen much too early to comment IMO

Yes Fawad with that stance will be bread and jam for Ashwin as he ll change his stance to sideways from open chest and within two balls Ashwin will figure out what to do. But must say a player coming back after 10 years and performing so well is a tribute to his character..hard working guy and he is not flustered.. yesterday holder told him something he just walked away.. his stance maybe crap but he has a fantastic head position when he plays the ball..

Did you seriously compare Fawad Alam with Dravid? Yeah Dravid was hardworking, but he wasn't talent less like this guy .

Fawad is clearly in a different class as a test batsman. He can easily walk into our middle order. He made 5 centuries in 13 matches (babar made 5 in 34)

Even in fc, babar only averages 40 something where as fawad is 50+. Its a crime that they wasted a good decade of him

Rizwan is pretty great for a wkb, probably second best wkb at the moment

Fawad is brilliant in Tests. Scoring tons at this age is incredible, imagine how much we would got if he was persisted with early in his career. Probably the biggest tragedy in PCT. Babar hasn't hit his expected heights in Test cricket. He is still good, but he can't convert his starts.

Tests: Fawad

ODI's: Babar

T20I: Rizwan

This is how I would rate the three of them, Babar is the best if we combine each format.

Agreed. It's criminal to see them waste fawad's prime years. He absolutely would be our best bat in the middle order comfortably.

He is way better than rahane ever was.

I think he would have easily been a pujara level player had he represented Pakistan in his prime years. No doubt he is still in his prime now but he has only got about 3 years left before the reflexes, timing ability wears off.

I just cannot fathom what the actual he'll did Pakistan do to this fawad guy. What an injustice. Such a shame.

Fawad babar and rizwan is way better than our middle order honestly.

Not saying it would be competitive vs India in India. But I don't think it will be easy for india to win in Pakistan.

Although indian bowling is probably Asia's best ever attack so obviously chances to win are good.

He was averaging 55+ in FC and Pakistan kept playing batsmen averaging 30s and 40s expecting them to become world beater.

Either expecting a miracle or giving chances to connections.
