Strawman arguments

If you are in good form and cannot utilize that to have a big series, you are not doing a great service to your team

As for Pujara, guy is playing at like 50% but still managing to make an impact (does not imply that others did not do well) as discussed

Two different things!

Already shifting goal posts?

Match was won by Pujara. KL and Rohit failed to take advantage of good form in 2nd test.

guys in good form have only 2 50+ scores in the series so far and we are in the 4th test. In this test - Rohit 11, KL 17, Jadeja 10 and Pant 9. That is less than 50 runs!

An out of form Pujara “helped” Ind win by playing an impact knock in the 2nd inning, while also scoring a lone warrior 91 in the next test. Not too difficult to appreciate that!

Despite being out of form, he helped Ind win the 2nd test with an impact knock and followed it up with a 91 in the next test

When was he in form for overseas matches? 1 series performance and 10 years of mediocrity isn't called poor form.

I am talking about the impactful knock in the 2nd inning with Ind reduced to 18/1, 27/2 and 55/3.

I have posted stats in Eng too in one of the threads including balls faced.

Pujara has played 14 overseas test series.

Managed to average 40+ in only 2 series in his career of 11 years.

He has been out of form entire career.

Helped Ind win in SL, Aus (2018-19) and (2020-21)

On aussie tour where kohli, pant, mayank also scored 1st time and 2nd time pant, rahane , thakur, sundar, rohit, gill performed

In Sa where kohli, rahane also performed

So when he has performed others have also. Had he perfromed when kohli piled on runs in Aus....we might have won

So this he won us a series i find is a wrong statment coz others performed n supported him to which he didnt do in others case.

The guy was a complete dud in his 1st overseas cycle, even dhawan scored a 100 in NZ in his 1st cycle

  • Rohit outscored him in england in his 1st 10 innings
  • KL has 2-100s in eng in two tours ,pujara 1 in 3 tours
  • Ashwin has 2-100s in WI as batsman, pujara avg 20
  • pujara avg 10 on his 1st SA tour , Pandya 20
  • Pujara avg 20 in 4th innings overseas, if not for 77 in Aus he was avg 10
  • Binny h/s score was better then Pujara highest score on 2014 eng tour
  • Bhuvi scored more 50s then pujara on 2014 eng tour

The series would include like in NZ where everyone averaged low but Pujara still got out to good balls!

Served as a virtual opener. Played many superb knocks including 145 in SL and 130 odd not out in Eng. 500+ runs series in Aus, 3 50s in last 2 tests in Aus last series, 45 to help Ind win in Eng, 91 lone warrior in 3rs test, ….

Add to that the performances in Ind :hail:

In SENA, with the 100 in Eng 2018 from when Pujara turned it around big time to create history for Ind in Aus :aha:
