i would rather that not happen tbh. it would put an unnecessary asterisk against the series win at this point.

Don't see how it's hollow. We used to only play 4 tests or 3 tests series. If 4 tests series is hollow then 2 tests series' should not even be counted.

Its hollow because players were preparing for 5 match series. Cancelling last match because of indian players so that india can win series is hollow

Nope. We are playing next year post odi series if it's cancelled.

Pujara

Kohli

Vihari

Pant

Jaddu

Thakur

Shami

Umesh

Bumrah

 

Vihari for Rahane (is broken)

Shami for Siraj (needs a break)

 

Vihari then gives Kohli the flexibility to bowl two spinners and also to ensure Bumrah is not overworked.

Vihari also cannot do any worse than Rahane here, even if he got a golden pair, 0,0 in each innings, his contribution can then be assessed from his bowling.
