Three Ind players that I hope will do well in the T20WC (2021)

Below are the three players that I hope will click in the 2021 T20WC: 

 

• Rohit - Would open. One issue with him is that he begins his innings slowly, leaving less time for the lower middle order, which has to click in the lottery like death overs, to settle in. Hopefully, he will be positive. Has played in important tournaments since 2007. I hope this is his last T20WC to make way for developing younger players for next T20WC in Aus. 
• Kohli - Could open. As a captain and Ind's most prolific batsman, he needs to step up. Has played in important tournaments since 2011.  I hope that this is his last T20WC too with youngsters coming in to prepare for T20WC in Aus. 
• Jadeja - Would be slotted to play in the middle order. Tends to start his batting slowly. Bowling is more or less average as well in T20s. However is a terrific fielder. Has played in many important tournaments since 2009. UAE tends to support his type of players so should look to perform. Again ideally should be looking to play his last T20 World Cup. 

 

One negative is that the above 3 have relatively slow starts when batting and stats padding concepts in common. I hope that they can turn their games around this time to click for India. I hope that they would have learned from experience.

I will throw a "circumspect" KL in to the mix as well to look at IPL 2020 in UAE stats:

 

KL. Balls faced 518, SR 129, Innings 14 ... balls/inning 37, runs/inning 48

Rohit. Ball faced 260, SR 128, Innings 12 ... balls/inning 22, runs/inning 28

Kohli. Ball faced 384, SR 121, Innings  15 ... balls/inning 26, runs/inning 32

Jadeja. Ball faced 135, SR 172, Innings 11 ... balls/inning 12, runs/inning 19

 

Total: balls/inning 97, runs 127, SR 130, RR 7.89

One player I am already concerned for is Hardik Pandya because I don’t think I have seen him bat or bowl in a while, leave alone in the same match. Apparently he is still being protected.

At this point I am starting to believe Hardik Pandya is a BCCI/RAW/Modi/BJB/Hindutva  ki saazish. He is actually a Robot that our Nazi (not niazi) type scientists  are fine tuning in a lab somewhere and over the years releasing  various beta versions with extremely limited features before the full product will be unleashed upon us with a vengeance.

Only player i forsee who will do good  is SKY.

 

Rest all are in grey zone.

 

1. Kela rahul- if he returns to this orange cap philia with low strike rate he would be detrimental to team cause.

 

2. Vadapav sharma- same issue a la kela rahul..i.e starting with low strike rate.. only difference being he isn't that much impact maker in amount of runs as compared to kela.

 

3. Rat kohli- again his deplorable form specially in T20 is a serious issue.. won't bode well for team india.

 

5. Pant- Hit & Miss.. his recent form isn't that good & to worsen the issue his fitness can hamper his shot making. Whenever his tries to breaks the shackles his go to shot is leg side hoick.

 

6. chapri pandya- again a hit & miss. Recent form issues plagues his performance going into future. Doesn't bowl either.

 

7. Sir Jadeja- can't bank on him as a standalone bowler. Will be taken to cleaners against ENA countries. Heck even pak, bangers et al will fancy him slogging out of park.

In batting he can contribute crucial runs tho.

Rohit, Kohli, KL all slow starters. Our bowlers will win us most of the matches.
