Chakdephatte Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 (edited) If Ishan Kishan is in the team for the World t20, he is going to be no. 5 or 6 for us. So, him batting at that position for MI makes sense. But it has not worked either for him or the team till now. They may try opening with him and Rohit, and send QDK at 3 for a few matches. That may help him get into form. A quick-fire 30 on top will bury the opposition on such pitches. Edited October 8, 2021 by Chakdephatte
Ankit_sharma03 Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 3-4, he is at right slot anyways Mi follows left right pattern which is right
Ankit_sharma03 Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 whats not worked for him is his own weakness, he needs to improve his game for different conditions. U wnt always get flat roads where u can hit through blindly Vk1 and Cricspin 2

He may fail there but needs to bat there so that selectors can make a final call.
ShoonyaSifar Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 (edited) Should open for MI and for India. That's where he will create maximum impact. He is not a middle or lower order batsman. Edited October 5, 2021 by ShoonyaSifar

zen Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 (edited) Get him to open with QdK to go after the bowling in PP … If he gets out early, that is fine, no big deal PS last yr QdK-Kishan opening par was impactful. Should have continued to back the youngster to open Edited September 26, 2021 by zen nevada 1
Adamant Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 I don't think he will be the right guy for these kind of pitches but he should get a chance, atleast he shows that Intent. The only thing which is troubling about him is that he has the tendency to waste many balls before getting out if he is not in the mood.
Lord Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 Tiwary further killing chances of his comeback
speedheat Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 He should open. Qdk or Rohit can drop down to 3.
Chakdephatte Posted October 5, 2021 Author Posted October 5, 2021 (edited) Doing wonders today. 39 off 22 till now, came as an opener. Where was this Ishan hiding all this season? Edit: finished on 50* off 25 Edited October 5, 2021 by Chakdephatte
