Agarwal or Samson - can play 2-3 quick fire innings that can win a team a game 

SKY - for 360 degrees batting

Pant or Kishan - the one in best form 

SDP (Hardik) - the impact machine 

Thakur or Jadeja - for bowling + batting

Varun C or R Chahar or … 

D Chahar or Siraj - PP bowler

Shami - good death bowling 

Bumrah - good death bowling

Axar bowls well vs left handers & gets decent bounce.  Anyways against a right hand heavy side both Axar & Jaddu will be handful.  I'll play both against Pak.  Babar & Rizwan both their main batsmen have glaring weakness vs SLAO. 

Ash can be rotated with Axar..  According to matchups.

I think 15 is for main squad. You can have more reserves upto 7 provided total contingent is 30

Stats padding by those who establish themselves in top order (#1-3) is common in Ind cricket  

 

These guys would even slot themselves in over developing a youngster or playing a batsman in form

Stats padding bhi kare to bhi they put a score on board and on these pitches runs will matter, shaw n co are highly inconsistent players . If u dnt score s.r doesnt even come in picture

Also KL, Kohli, Rohit international s/r is good 

 

U dnt develop youngsters in a WC, nyways we SKY, kishen are inexperinced at this level ...u cant have so many. Look at 2 of IPLs most successful franchise - CSK n MI , they dnt discard experienced player . Even SRH has been more successful then RR , SRH has always given importance to experience.

 

Now u need a mix of different kind of player, u cant have same hit n miss batsman in whole lineup. Gaikwad doesnt work alone , experience of FAF n others help him

The more I see of these UAE wickets, the more I am realizing the importance of solidity in the batting order to win the world cup. 

 

Rohit and Kohli should definitely open with SKY at 3 and Rahul at 4 with Pant used as a floater based on match situation. I'd go with..

this is going to be a 150 par score world cup. it won't suit our stroke players but our batting style. I've got a lot more faith in the bowling than the batting to pull through for us so even some selfish batting won't go amiss.
