Chakdephatte Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 All the players in the squad have been performing for years. Only doubtfuls are Ashwin, Ishan, or maybe Shami. Apart from the former two, no one needs to be dropped for a few failures in IPL. Pandya should only play if he can bowl.

Right now Kishan is on thin ice & Iyer may push him to reserve squad. Pitches will keep slowing down & players like Iyer become crucial for setting or chasing 150-160 scores. Same goes for Surya as well.

Same goes for Surya as well. yes Actually true.. if pitches slows down india should have iyer and surya rather than kishan as kishan is a flat track monster. He s young and he ll learn to play percentage shots against spin which iyer is a master of. Even pant struggles when pitches slows down so does pandya. My ideal line up would be to have the following in slow wickets.
