Win or lose it is amazing how with the minimum resources at their disposal, they play as a TEAM.  

 

With all our blistering talent - I wish we were half as coherent and well-knit like their unit.

I was going to make a thread on this as well but glad you did.

 

Watching NZ play against Pakistan - Didn't watch ball by ball but caught most of the game

 

1)  Look at the improvisation done by the NZ batsman -  look at the shots they played - reverse sweep , scoops   - How many of those shots did we play against Pak ?   India is playing traditional shots like we are still in the 70's playing some classic knocks.  This is T20 -  innovation is the need of the hour -  One of best all time batsman in T20 - ABD and Glen Maxwell are well known to innovate -  they throw the bowlers plan out of the window with their 360 shots and scoops and reverse sweeps etc - What do the Indians Batsman play ?  Traditional shots - easy to predict and can easily be bowled to a game plan  - knowing exactly how Sharma and Kohli would just play traditional shots - you can easily set your field to them and bowl wicket to wicket 

2)  Ish Sodhi -  This guy showed exactly how to bowl as a spinner - this guy was mixing and making things happen -  Pakistan batsman looked uncomfortable and looked like an even match and he looked wicket taking every over -  What were Jadeja and Varun doing?

Sodhi was impressive. What about the catch by conway. Ran good yards before taking that catch.  Stunning.  We have this chakaravarthy who was running like 60 year old man.

We will have problems with sodhi. Especially with his height and bounce. He is 6'3

In general western societies are much more transparent,efficient, planned and fair. There is a reason why every ram, sam and syed lines up before a firang embassy.

They had lower score than us to defend but they still made a match of it unlike India. As I said our biggest issue is bowling not batting.

Our bowling was as trash as I have seen in that NZ ODI tour.  Absolutely no bite Nothing.  I still can't fathom they couldn't pick 1 wicket defending 150+.

Team selection was atrocious. Worst management and decision making. Much worse than a sarkaari office.

 

They picked  the worst bowlers of the ipl.

 

SRH would have thrashed the indian team.
