Please no chest thumping but honest question. This guy was a nobody till yesterday and doesn’t even play 2nd tier leagues like BBl,CPL and PSL. Look at the confidence taking on good bowlers. Indian batsmen play like phattus in comparison Ashanka looks good ... Gaikwad has played two seasons and has been improving to be international cricket ready ... Shaw is a rhythm player so depends upon form (can look like million bucks one day and like junk the next) ... V Iyer is in his first season so would like to see more. Padikkal looked good in his first season and in the 2nd had SR issues

vvvslaxman Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Rashid is better than all our spinners. Seriously wicket takers are more important than containers.
vvvslaxman Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Under Kohli India's fast bowling in Tests became more potent. But on the downside it regressed in other formats. Spin was good for a brief period. Now Spin bowling and batting against spin both regressed badly. All these 100 kph darters should be removed.
zen Posted November 1, 2021 Author Posted November 1, 2021 Kudos to Eng for stepping its game up in these conditions ... SL of course would feel at home
goose Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 I haven't followed closely but why did we turn our backs on Yuz Chahal and Kuldeep? They won us a lot of games in white ball cricket.
Jay Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Moeen Raahid Jordan Livingstone Lol seriously. If this team with this bowling can win titles In t20, anyone can. That's a joke. These players cannot be that special. sage 1

I do empathize with him a little because he is being killed on SM but it’s the teams fault to continue with a half baked player. If you look at big hitters like Pollard, Pooran, Russell, etc., they tend to look scratchy till they get going ... It is important to see the playing style of player when judging how he is shaping up. For a rough example, difficult to judge a Gaikwad and a Shaw on same parameters. With Gaikwad you are looking at how he is rotating the strike, getting the loose balls away, etc., and with Shaw you are judging him on his hitting, how cleanly he is middling the ball, finding gaps, hitting over the top, etc. Many times, he is going to look scratchy as well even when in form. The smirks when smashed for 6s gave @velu nightmares. Kuldeep Yadav has fallen off a cliff. Form and confidence so shot that barely plays at any level anymore. velu, goose and maniac 1 2
Jay Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Enlgnd strength is dangerous power hitting. We need to work on that. Get guys like srk venky In. Players who can use brute force to clear boundaries. Not these slow plodding oldies.

Anyway the answer to that is not that complex, how many batting or bowling positions in this team look locked to you?
zen Posted November 1, 2021 Author Posted November 1, 2021 Woakes (iirc) dropped a catch but it was good to see Captain Morgan clap at the effort and encourage him ... Top leadership marks for that ... Eng players look relaxed and appear to be having fun In the meantime, 5th gone
Frustrated Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Avishka Fernando has scores of 0, 4, 3, 14 in 4 matches. LOL.
