But parameter which you're applying is that Pandya scored against them so they must be major team.

Team selected are based on this World Cup seedings and performances where applicable. BD did not even do well in qualifiers so ended up in Grp 1 instead of Grp 2, and also lost all its group games. Only exception is SL, an unseeded team, as it did well.

The thread is not on SDP, though I am happy that he did well. If I add BD to the mix, SDP even moves up. If you feel bad that he is among top 5, it is not my problem!

The OP tells what the thread is about … Even if it is on SDP what is your problem? … SDP has his fans too!

Nothing flimsy here except that adding one team is making a hater act as he is on a hot tin roof  :dontknow:

Problem is that it's dishonest attempt to glorify Pandya.

Matches in which Pandya bats are major.

Clear troll attempt on forum.

Among the top 4 seeded teams in the group, yes

Major no, Ind was already out of the competition, AFG still in

As for stats, they are not even Ind specific but for all seeded teams

When did that happen?

There was not a single day when India was already out, while Afghan was still in.

let's see. I am expecting at least or both of them to be injured at that time. neither of them have robust bodies or fitness, and add to that BCCI's huge overloading and horrible man-management skills

Since SDP was MoS in T20s in Aus and scored 2 90s in ODIs (highest scorer for Ind, avg of 100+ when the next best avg was in the 50s), more reasons to give him the responsibility to bat in the top 4!

Aus, both the team and the country, works for him!

LOI have two different formats. Both need different approaches.

In either format Pandya does not work at number 4 as he is not good enough. He will get exposed in T20s if he bats consistently at number 4 with his limited strokeplay.ODIs he is just plainly not good enough .If Pandya wanted to bat up the order he would have made it clear to all the teams he played. Marsh plays FC cricket and played country cricket skipping IPL atleast it shows he tried to improve himself. Do we have any such things from Pandya?

SDP :hatsoff:

If SDP had come in earlier v Pak, who knows Ind could have got to 170+. If SDP had come earlier v NZ, Ind may not have been 48/4 and 70/5, with him playing his natural game with confidence of knowing that Ind has wkts in hand

Pandya has done quite well whenever he got the chance to bat overs like in Australia this year he batted at 6. In T20s, he and pant are two batsmen who can bash spin well unlike likes of Kohli, Rahul. So they are for sure suited in middle overs of 6-16 overs.
