Troy Cooley to be NCA's new fast bowling coach; exclusive 'pacers contract' on anvil

Some interesting points there

 

"We are hearing that BCCI is giving Cooley a three-year contract and he will closely co-ordinate with head of Cricket VVS Laxman'

 

BCCI is already planning on how to prepare the next crop of fast bowlers and one of the decisions set to be taken is an 'Exclusive Young Pacers Contract'.

It is understood that Ganguly, Shah along with head coach Dravid and NCA head Laxman is trying to devise a contract that is exclusive and different from central contract.

It is learnt that Cooley and Laxman will hand-pick 10 young fast bowlers, who are currently not in the national reckoning or do not have central contracts.

These young pacers will be hand-picked from the junior and first-class cricket and handed 'BCCI fast bowlers' contract.

' They will be evaluated by Dravid and Laxman to see if they can be fast tracked into the pathways team (India A) and then senior team.

I should be appointed as the Auditor who checks whether the contract awarded was genuine contract or a trundler awarded it...i am sure that i will do a Perfect job on this role.

Great get, he got Pat Cummins back after working with him intensely, now Cummins is the best bowler in the world.

I am not sure bout Paras Mhambrey's credentials.

 

what ever i know about him is he was always a 115k to 125K trundler when he played for Mumbai and belonged to the category of Slow trundler.

 

when he was picked fpr one test or one day, Geoff boycott said that his grand mother can hit mhambrey out of the Park.

 

I am sure that Mhambrey will make our trundlers smarter and probably good t20 bowlers. But his main job is to create genuine fast bowlers and sharpen their Skills. 

if this guy troy is so good , why should he not coach our main team.

chahar, bhuvi, harshal and venkatesh iyer are a Slow trundling attack that may succeed on slowish tracks by their slow bowling tricks. but on Australian tracks which could be bouncy and english and new zealand pitches , will this attack even win us T20 matches.

 

selectors have picked trundler attack( only missing is jaydev) which can win us t20 matches on dust pitches, patta pitches where they will outbowl milne, lockie ferguson and even boult. but on fastish tracks of australia or zewzealand or swinging pitches of england , will this attack suceed.

 

i will be shocked if they continue selecting trundlers for ODI's also.  Chahar , harshal  and even the slower bhuvi are not good enough to play for INDIA in odi's.

bhuvi and chahar look good in first 2 overs when they swing a mile and rest 8 overs , they are ordinary. harshal tricks batsman to go after him and in odi, batsman may not go for crazy hitting unltill the 48th over. i hope they drop chahar, bhuvi and harshal from the ODI team.

 

avesh has not got even one chance till now, hope he gets his chance in ODI's.
