Countdown to Rohit Sharma being Announced as the ODI Captain.

Recommended Posts

Will Rohit be announced as captain in all White Ball Formats? Or will Virat Kohli continue to torture the Indian Cricket Lovers and continue to be a hindrance between Indian Team & ICC Championships.

We all know that Rohit has a much higher ceiling than Kohli as far as Captaincy in concerned. Will Ganguly & BCCI grow a pair and escort Kohli the Captain to the Exit Door? If yes by when can we expect this major change?

Why just ODIs? He has had a longer run as Test captain (will complete 7 years as Test captain). Couldn't groom a single young player.

He should not be allowed to lead the team in any format. If it means Rahane as Test captain, so be it

According to you he should be hanged.:phehe:

First things First, I would start with ODIs. Because it looks like Kohli is in no mood to resign as a captain from ODIs, forget Test Cricket. He needs to be shown the Door. But will our spineless Selectors and BCCI do that, that's a bigger question.

Should be sacked for this reason alone. Plus BCCI has enough evidence of him trying to be the dictator. We could actually start from the 2nd test of the NZ series itself. Rahane, if he leads a young team to a win vs NZ in the 1st (which he will), should be asked to continue to lead the side. If Kohli doesn't agree, ask him to stay put in Mumbai and send him on a 6 month long sabbatical

My sense is these conversations are already happening in the background. And perhaps BCCI knows that Kohli will make it a messy affair if sacked. That's why publicly there are no announcements. I'm hoping they will use the jhatka method.

Depends on Junior Shah & Ganguly, if both of them want him out then no *er can keep him as a captain! Broadcaster or sponsors be damned, these two have enough power to overrule them - the question is will they?

I don't even consider Jr. Shah as administrator, come next Sarkar Change, you will see this guy thrown into the oblivion.

Well considering he's the son of you know who, he's right now the most powerful person in a position of authority in the BCCI. I'd argue even ahead of Ganguly, I don't "rate" him either but he is who he is.

Yeh, BCCI is the Cash Cow of BJP Now, Hey come-on, after all they need money to Buy MLAs. Cant blame them. Desh Sankat mein Hai  reverberates strongly with people like Jr. Shah sitting on top positions in BCCI, without any knowledge of Cricket per say.

You couldn't have been so further from the reality. Sports bodies including BCCI are playfields for ALL politicians irrespective of their political divide and ideology. Why do you think Rajeev Shukla (Congress) continued to be IPL Chairman for years and is even now the Head of Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association? Anurag Thakur (BJP) remained HPCA Head under UPA Government and became BCCI secretary in 2011. Plenty of examples like this.

Likewise, Jay Shah will continue to be powerful in BCCI irrespective of the government at the center.

Can't wait for it.

Rohit should be made the test captain too.

And this is coming from one of his staunchest (past) hater.

My god...what improvement. His test batting technique looks so solid these days.

Ideally Rahane should be test captain but he doesn't deserve a spot in the playing XI.

Kaptan Kohli era must end once and for all.

Your post epitomizes everything that is wrong with this country. Congress had Rajiv Shukla at helm so it automatically gives rights to BJP to give their most useless man the biggest office in the Indian Cricket, to set the modern classical example of nepotism in the country. And comparing Rajiv Shuka with Jay Shah? Rajiv Shah atleast had some semblance of experience in sport administration over Jay Shah. You "bhakts" will stoop down to any level to protect BJP & its Kaala Kartoot.

Not sure why you got triggered. I was telling you how politicians look after each other.

The problem with you doormats and piddis is that everyone not agreeing with you is a bhakt (which for me is a sacred term). Last post responding to you.

Triggered because you are brushing Jay Shah being the Top Brass at BCCI with Sab Changa Si attitude. Congress had Rajiv Shukla, so that justifies Jay Shah. You can be satisfied with this state of affair, not everyone.

Jay Shah being BCCI secretary has nothing to do with BJP. He is there because he won election and was also Gujarat cricket association executive board member. All these positions are selected by voting and are honorary posts.
