Flicking through some cricket videos and came across this, Shoaib was reported for a suspect action, it's pretty obvious from this clip he was chucking it in this 2006 series against India, hyper extension is just a flawed argument, as clearly seen in this video rp Singh to has a hyper extension but at point of release his arm is straight unlike akthar who is wearing sleeves to hide his jerky action.

Who cares at this moment.

 

Even if we believe he was chucking, he couldn't win single handedly matches for Pakistan.

 

Indians handled him well, he played so few matches overall.  

 

OTOH Saeed Ajmal along with Hafeez were daylight robbers, Pakistan was Zimbabwe level team for many years (before arrival of Babar, Rizwan, Shaheen, Hasan) and these 2 chuckers were their only ray of hope.

Old News ! Shoaib is not highly rated bowler anyways, you take all time Test XIs of most unbiased legends and no one have Shoaib in their all time Test XIs. Shoaib was an exciting bowler in patches, but the tag of a suspicious action will always shadow his achievements.

He was banned for throwing back in 1999, again reported 2 more times within a few years, jagmohan dalmiya saved him in 1999 by over turning his ban, infact this is one reason why akthar is always raving about bcci because he got saved by them countless of occasions, both holding and Andy Roberts felt akthar was a Chucker, as you can clearly see in this video there is enough evidence to prove he indeed chucked, he was called three times for a suspect action.

There hasn't been a quicker bowler ever in the history of cricket. He probably would have smashed that 160 kph multiple times if he played t20s at his peak.
