the way BCCI selects teams is bonkers to me.THe coach is the one who is on the ground and actually makes the hard decisions and ultimately the success of the team is in on his head but yet he has no say in the team composition at all? why would Dravid take such a job is beyond me.

Well if everything was alright behind the scenes as you claim then Dravid would have rubbished all the drama. Instead he chose to say "I will not say anything".  Obviously everything is not good.
