Shreyas Iyer as 6th bowler in ODIs

He was used as sixth bowler for first time, 3 overs for 21 runs, no wicket.

 

Bowled leg spin to right hander and off spin to left hander. Can improve and merit a place as sixth bowler. Batting wise, he is not suited for no.6 spot. He should bat at 4 or 5.

 

Does he solve the problem?

Would rather have Sundar.Can easily bat in middle overs and has the shots. Don't judge by IPL

If he doesn't work which is given obviously we might finally look at Kohli to be sixth bowler. Basically anyone who can just move his arms and bowl a legal delivery.

What it also does is open a spot for SKY or else you end up going to V Iyer.

No 6th no 12th nor 15th, the guy doesn't deserve to be in the squad, forget the playing XI, overated hack.

Iyer is not convincing overseas with bat in LOIs and his bowling is way below that of regular part-timer level (e.g., markram). cannot be 6th bowler.
