Mere lwde ka chase king...kitna test match jitaya hai choker. Kohli will be put as same bracket as Ganguly or laxman. Where laxman is more clutch than this chokli king ever ll be.

I agree. Laxman is arguably better than kohli.

to avoid the consequences of failure first you must not call it failure. human / fan  psychology 101. and it's been working. ever wondered why we stopped burning effigies or pelting homes?

Because cricket's obviously not that big of a *ing deal? Do you want to go back to those times :bebored:

Maybe because the suppliers of those resources went belly up.

Jokes apart, thankfully those physically dangerous protests moved to online formats/ social media - memes, roasts, hashtags. Plus the all powerful player PRs successfully convinced the masses that 0-8 didn't matter nor did losing one ICC trophy after another

Abey thik se padh..tune hi bola na 4 th inning highest avg. Chasing king. So how many test he won chasing. Bloddy under him we couldn't even chase anything above 150 , whenever we chased successfully he was not in team was changing his baby diapers.  Even in ODIs he choked and couldn't able to chase 240 when it mattered. So once again lwdey ka chasing king.

Brub what's funnier is they blamed bowlers hahahahaha for the loss. They should have apparently restricted them to 200.

Our bowlers were brilliant throughout. This bunch of wastrel with wrongn picking wrong selections and being poor batsmen of swing is what contributed to our loss. Should have impeded with pant or even mayanm who was in prime form at the time with several 50s vs Aussies in tests.

We have won/drawn in chases a lot of time  under him, please watch more test matches.

Another problem is that he is on a lot of matches by innings difference and won the tosses too many times in home conditions so he is a victim of his own greatness basically.

Also let's please keep the arguments clean and civil.

How many time we won chasing abroad which you were highlighting earlier while comparing with past batsmen. You claimed he is greatest chaser which is complete lie and idol worshiping, reality is him or india under him never Chase a target above 150 outside India. Heck even hapless sl we couldn't able to chase 160 we lost multiple time chasing 200 target against eng and sa. So not sure which matches you watch to claim he is greatest chaser in test cricket when he is not even in ODIs if you consider his choking ability in icc 50 over tourney.

I called him the king of chase- a name given to him by known critics and cricketers for his chasing ability in shorter formats and also for the ruthless intent he has shown many times in 4th innings chases.

Yes he hasn't done well in 50 overs Wc knockout but what about WT20 where he has played magical knocks while Chasing and also Champiions trophy where he has played a number of great knocks in knockout or virtual knockout games.

Similarly his 54 and 60 odd in twp 4th innings in aus which helped us draw the match along with his century in New Zealand in a draw, also the great twin knocks in adelaide which sadly ended in a loss.

You need to realise that we have hardly won matches away from home so criticising a single player for that is not fair.

Haters like to talk about only those knockouts where he failed while ignoring all those where he singlehandedly won us the match.

I could do a similar filtering for almost each and every player..

You see the irony...the very first time I called you out you were criticizing a player in front of him Kohli is zero in test cricket and now when I started exposing your god you are getting defensive. Kohli is GOAT in T20. I never saide anything else no debate there. But he is not top 4 batters in test cricket in India. In odi as well he has mostly done stats padding failed in all qf, sf and final of all wc which he has failed.

He is undoubtedly amongst top4, Laxman doesn't come close.

The records speak for themselves.

Laxman was great but underachieved massively.

Let Kohli finish his career if trend continues like this where his avg came from 53 to 50 in 2 years and if he plays for another 3 years he will end up around 46-47 which ll be around Laxman and laxman has more clutch performance than anyone else.

In Tests, Kohli has won nothing in 4th inning. All talk about intent and aggression but no win or match saving performance on Day 5 as far as I can remember.

He went for the win on the 5th day of the test match and that alone deserve applause though. All of our previous captains were phattu. Full marks for trying even if it didn't work out.

Okay, we will applaud him for that.

But many Indian batters have won matches in past on Day 5, so the argument that previous batters were phattu is hillarious.

Dravid and Laxman won us games from 85/4 after opposition has posted 550 and they chased down 240 odd on Day 5.

They won us Kolkata Test which we had no right of winning.

Ultimately you don't remember the losses. Moral victory has no place in the cricket books if you have lost the game.

When did Dravid chase 200+ away from home against proper bowling attacks?

Secondly, we haven't won 'MANY' matches away from home chasing on day 5 don't know where you got this idea from?

From the top of my head I can remember Gabba, 220odd vs aus in 2003 against a depleted Australian attack without Mcgrath warne and Gillespie (lol) and nothing in the 90s, so 2 in 3 decades?

Is that how you define 'MANY'.?
