Yea. One game and that's it. Let's write off a talent like avesh after one bad game on terrible pitches. He couldn't even land properly. Chahr got injured not cause he is unfit. He is actually very fit. Chahar does sprints after every training sessions and is usually the last to leave.

Give him an extended run ffs. Just like a job. You can't expect instant results from a newbie. Give him time. He will learn from mistakes.

You think virat kulhi started hammering teams right after he joined. At one point he was even ridiculed for being part of the Test team. Dhoni showed faith in him and dint discard him.

Can you perform on a job without any experience in any field? Dint think so.

He does have pace. He bowls a heavy ball, so you can't just look at the speed gun. I think he deserves some more chances. He would be more effective on pitches that offer him some bounce.

He did very well in the IPL for a stretch, doing better than Rabada. Had a bad game the other day due to whatever reasons but he is not a bowler to write off, he has good potential.

Let's see how he performs in another 2-3 matches. At the very least, he should show more intensity in his bowling in the next match itself unless he's injured which certainly doesn't seem to be the case.
I'm not sure, but does he even have the action and stamina to bowl 4 overs consistently at good pace and lengths? And the team management needs to tell/encourage him to bowl aggressively.

Avesh's ceiling (in bowling) is Jaques Kallis level.

But Kallis used to bowl 140+, Avesh bowls a heavy ball just like him but pace is erratic and less said about the lines the better.

Bowling fitness nahi hai most probably, that's why there's so much variation in pace.

He can not even bowl six conseucutive balls over 135kmph let alone 140 kmph

He bowls a heavy ball. Bounce.

Something bantons team mates can never bowl.

This :congrats:

In response to the OP. Whats the result of average(1) ?

Are we missing the muddy and slippery conditions. Anyone who has played some cricket in such conditions knows the perils.

Even in this match, Chahar picked up an injury. All the bowlers struggled with their footing. Rohit was seen carrying in saw dust to help the bowlers get a semblance of traction.

Lets see what he can make of future opportunities.
