'I took 28 wickets, 3 five-fors and a hat-trick. Yet no one paid attention': Axed India bowler on not getting recognised

The standard of domestic cricket is decent but still a few notches below to great, the positives about Indian cricket is it's organised, great infarstructure and underage system under associations keeps churning out good young cricketers, guys like Siddharth kaul would eventually be found out in a top tier domestic setup, chintan gaja a nothing bowler has better first class numbers than many Indian test specialists. Numbers+ potential+skill should be the benchmark for india A cricket. Currently prasidh, avesh, porel, Yash dayal, mavi, Sushant Mishra, Kuldeep Sen, saini should be in the mix for India A cricket. Basil thampi, simarjeet Singh, nagarkoti, prithviraj Yarra all these guys should be in the fringe imo

Sir, who are you? Sir, who is the next big star for fast bowling in India? Ideally for tests I.e.

Thank you sir ji. Your input is valued.

kaul is another bona fide trundler. did well in domestics since these kinds of bowlers can prosper, but get found out at int'l level.

Don't get it. How do such trundlers even do well in domestics? Do they have relentless ability to pressure batsmen with unerring accuracy or ?

2014-17 domestic pitches were green mambas, many average seamers went on picking up heaps of wickets, barely any decent young Indian pacers flourished then, only after 2017 did the pitches improve. Mithun, sreenanth Arvind, Sandeep Sharma, kulkarni, basant mohanty all went creating havoc while trundling.

Green mamba? For real? In India? But undacutta even last season he did well. Had quite good numbers. Even harshal. Both have no real good bouncer or yorker. Csnt intimidate batsmen with bounce or yorker ability. Yet they did well.

I just don't get how slow bowlers with no real hostile bowling ability csn do well in Indian slow wickets.

This was the ranji final in Pune 2015-16. Look at the pitch, just land the ball in a good spot and the rest would be taken care of. Undercut and rathod brewing fire.

But still india weather is  God damn awful. So hot. No wonder foreign teams give up before the game even gets harder.

Maybe we should use the trundlers for places like n.z and England where bowlers who can swing on mambas can be picked. Pick the bouncy ones for SA and Australia. But we always lacked foresight so I doubt things will change unless rphit himself decides to experiment.

Reminds me of Sir Vinay Kumar. Legend in FC, abused in sole test match.

Unadkat is a bit more skillful than VK.  He got introduced in the worst test possible lol  Openers 50s, next three batsmen century. Neither Sreesanth nor Ishant made any impact either. That was a GOAT line up.  Graeme smith, Amla, Kallis, ABDV.

Disagree Vinay was actually doing decent until his test debut. Against England in 2011 he was even troubling the likes of trott, Petersen and cook, his ranji numbers are unmatchable.

He was the run of the mill length bowler . Even in under-19 world cup he was one of the best bowler for India. He could move the ball and 139 kph even as under-19. He didn't fully evolve. He also has very good numbers in first class. Shane watson essentially finished VK's career.
