In the recent NZ series she was timing the ball well. ONe freak run out. Few soft dismissals. Don't think she was out of form. India needs more power hitters like her.

not just power hitting (which gardner can do even better) but combining high SR with high avg in WCs. Lanning does that over entire career, but kaur seems to do her best in WCs.

basically there is a huge gap between Aus and rest. One of the finalists will almost surely be Oz, and the second will be one of NZ, Eng, WI, SA, Ind

Indian women's cricket team is a joke. Indian women are just not sportive enough. They lack oppourntities due to poor parenting. Thanks in large to antiqated Indian parents that only insist on focusing on education alone.

Ghatiya campaign so far from Indian women... thought the 2019/20 WC meant standards are improving. No indian players in the Top 10 ODI rankings apart from pensioners Mithali ( Batting) and Goswami ( bowling)

You are being really harsh, Indian campaign has been decent so far, it's been a very tightly contested tournament with Aus being the runaway best side.

However, India continue to waste time on Mithali for "experience", could have persisted with Jemimah instead.

they have only beaten Pakistan and West Indies and lost to Nz and Eng. they still have to play Australia and South Africa, their toughest matches. It will be a miracle if they make it to next round.

These pics got me thinking...

Our men's and women's teams seem to have the same set of primary and kit sponsors.

Interesting that the sponsorship contracts are drawn in this manner. Always thought that BCCI had two separate set of contracts for the sides.

And beating WI was a good win. They are still in contention if they can get past SA & Bangladesh. You cannot have over the top expectations considering India is still a middling side in women cricket.

sa wins vs nz ,with this result ind are probably out .sf will be aus,sa,wi,and eng/nz

I doubt if Eng will make it, given their inconsistency but it can't be ruled out. agree that Ind is effectively out.

Finally Mithali made some runs after a top order stutter. India's run rate 5.05 with 12 overs to go. Harman & Ghosh are in.

ghosh and rana played very poorly. vastrakar should have come in sooner given her hitting prowess
