The only argument which used to go for Kela doesn't hold truth anymore, the firepower all he had got extinguished from"strike rate is overrated in t20s "days He has become meeker than Akash Chopra at the crease these days raki05 1

Hey, even a draw against Australia is like iftaar party of the decade apparently. And no wonder, greenbros can't even buy a draw in Australia for last what 40 years? Keep losing every single test. Forget about all that. World number 1 in tests for 5 years. That's more than a title. Done *nall apparently Lel. Edited March 16, 2022 by Jay Vijy 1
Vijy Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 (edited) I don't agree with OP. Babar Azam is not only the best batter currently around in WC, he is also the best Asian batter of all time, and is arguably better than Bradman too. He is so great that all the whiney posters throwing hissy fits should simply accept these incontrovertible facts and bow down to the greatness of Babar Akbar (i.e., Babar the Great) Azam and devote themselves to his batting day and night. To do anything less would be the deepest sacrilege. Edited March 16, 2022 by Vijy rollingstoned, nevada, raki05 and 2 others 4 1

His record is way too skewed towards 'home domination'. An abroad average of 37 with a lone 100+ under lines this fact. Having said that his 196 has been a great knock given the adverse match situation. ya once Roston chase and one more keeper batsmen from wi played for 2 days to save test against India in 2018 i suppose. Dery Posted March 17, 2022 Author Posted March 17, 2022 I would argue Rizwan too is better than Vihari, Rahane & Iyer currently QuarantineTormentino 1
QuarantineTormentino Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 He’s a great test batter and is extremely high quality, but best the title of “best Asian test batsman” is a bit debatable imo. However, if somebody comes up with relevant statistics to back up their claim, I’m willing to concede

Anyways Rizwan is better than Rahane and how can you compare him with Iyer who has just played his 4th test match lmao. It’s like saying Pat Cummins > Marco Jansen Vijy 1
rollingstoned Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Their fans tried to pump him up and compare him with Kohli. His ability to play spin and choke is something he emulates well in that case. Ofc with Kohli this is a recent thing, he used to be very clutch at his peak. Mamoon is right when he says this guy js more in the category of Rahul, Iyer and Agarwal rather than Kohli/Sharma. Being the alpha dog both while batting and bowling has obvious benefits as opposed to being 5th/6th choice. raki05 and QuarantineTormentino 1 1

Yeah imagine if we hyped KL Rahul as the BeSt AsIaN tEsT bAtSmAn after his knock of 199 vs England in that 2016 series which actually helped us win lol raki05, rollingstoned and Suhaan 3

You are comparing rizwan at his peak vs a rahane who has passed his. rizwan is averaging in the 40s and has 0 overseas 100s. Rahane has multiple including lords and mcg masterclasses. during his peak he was averaging in the 50s. Rizwan will end up like yasir, sarfaraz, abbas, amir, shafiq etc - good ish players with a short peak. raki05, Sgattick10, rollingstoned and 1 other 2 2

deathmonger Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Babars average is purely propped up by his 88 average at home. Overseas he averages 37. kl hasn’t played a home test since 2017. raki05 1

He has to improve his bowling with the old ball, because he looks toothless with it at the moment. However he’s very young so he has a lot of time to learn obviously
