now its time for scouts to look for players who can captain.. pick a brilliant captain even if he is a mediocre player and play him at 7 or 8.. someone like a darren sammy or george bailey.. and dont even think of making your best young player as a captain

can't pant improve ?or is it too late

being top class batsman + wicket keeper itself is difficult.. why the additional burden at such a young age.. may be 5/6 years later

find out guys who are detached from the result of the game.. or atleast can act like that.. not get bogged down like other players.. T20 captaincy is the hardest thing in the game.. even more than a finsher's role or death bowling

Only Krunal Pandya seems to be good option

he has winning mentality and attitude

He basically comes in a combo offer with Hardik. Doesnt even get his own Dream XI ad. His best chance is Hardik being made captain and they can twin in as captains

Showing facial expression is the criteria Kohli will win hands down. Real captain has to manage experienced and junior players. It is not just strategy. Leadership is very key. Don't go by IPL standings. Neither Samson nor KL Rahul are good captains. Just had a decent  set of players.  Hardik was literally spewing MC/BC at his own fielders. Pant also had his own share of meltdowns.

agree.. even though Gujarat , RR and LSG are in playoffs I dont rate their captains.. something has to be done about this.. I dont blame these guys.. they are just saying yes to give a honest attempt but they are not cut for it

Pant is a pathetic captain, If you recall, he passed the ball to Tom Curren when Ranada was available against csk last year! Which cost them the match
When two drs were available yesterday, he did not review.

Dc ain't winning anything under this fool.

T20 is one such format where captaincy plays a huge role. In fact more than any other format. That’s why MSD has been able to win titles with washed up retired and half retired semi pros.

you can afford to have a specialist captain provided he is not a net negative like Rohit and other areas of team are strong.

Someone like Morgan could work as he is willing to push himself down the order and only bat if absolutely necessary

but guys like tuk tuk sharma and Kane are liabilities. Esp tuk tuk who is not even a good captain. These guys chew up balls without any impact and then get out

There are some captains for whom added responsibility gets the best out of them and then there are those for whom added responsibility gets the worst out of them.

Based on this IPL, Hardik appears to have qualities of the former, while KL Rahul most definitely fits the latter.
