he doesnt play T20Is thats why. Even Smith went unsold in 10 team IPL even though Aus won WT20

INdia hasn't played that many. Only in the last few years we play a lot more. Back then it was just 1 T20 in a series. Not 3 match series.

Yes but that's due to England's rich batting resources in LOIs.  In India Root would be a superstar in all formats.  Plays spin pace both well.  Look at his ODI record in last 3 years.  He will be a sure shot name here.

Brevis also has some major temperament issues. Hitting is not a problem for SA, they have many. However, nothing wrong in trying Klaseen or Brevis when playing against minnows, completely agreed with this point.

Cuttack pitch is known for these tricky things. If i remember correctly Dilip vengsarkar once was pissed off for not getting man of the match award because the pitch was too tough to bat on.
