Jadeja will be the key which will decide whether we win this or lose. He has the most important roles.

The new look English batsmen were smoking the NZ spinner into oblivion(RR>7!). If Jadeja, who is miles better than Bracewell, can hold one end tightly it could prove to be the difference between us IND and NZ.

He also needs to chip in with some crucial lower order runs if we have to post a decent total.

After the heavy attack on spinners by English bats, I think Ashwin should play ahead of Jaddu, as Jaddu doesn't really contributes much with bat in Eng

How? He averages 27 with bat and our best batsman (goat asian captain) averages 34-35 in same conditions as pure batsman.

We need to catch well & ideally have Jadeja/Ashwin & Thakur in the lower order! Unless the pitch is not gonna turn at all I'd pack the batting down the order, have 2 spinners & ideally bat first. With Rohit almost gone we need to have as many established batters as possible!

No. Never play ash and jaddu in sena unless together. Pace pace pace.

Thakur at 8

Jadds at 7

Shamzaaa at 9

Bumrahhh aka chukrah at 10

Praisdh for bounce at 11.

Perfect team.ideally if one of our premium bowlers could bat it would have been absolutely perfect.

Cummins can bat. Starc can. Why can't our premium pacers bat?

My only hope to win this test wud be Pant , bowlers have been doing their job for quite a few yrs now but unless we have runs onboard specially against a man named joe root who is in his purple patch we dont stand a chance

If we win these guys will play crucial role

  • Lord thakur
  • Pujara
  • Pant
  • Prasidh
  • Shami

England’s playing XI for rescheduled India Test: Alex Lees, Zak Crawley, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes (c), Sam Billings (w), Matthew Potts, Stuart Broad, Jack Leach, James Anderson.

No Overton!! Pace, swing and seam. No spin whatsoever. Root will do

Leach is there ... and knowing Indian bats ... let me not even think about it.

Leach? I am more worried about us facing potts who is a can. He is so average but our batsmen may make him look world class.

If our batsmen put runs on board we should win this.
