Shaheen strategically chose to not play vs us to avoid being game planned for? Is that what you are saying? 

 

As a retort, an example would be boult. Our batsmen have played boult for years yet we struggle vs him. Our old washedup has been have clear weakness vs left arm angle at even medium pace. We did handle topley well recently though.

 

Don't think shaheen is a coward but yea it's strange how he never plays much vs India.

• Shaheen value was most in powerplay, so they need to have someone strong in PP now. Imad wasim is one of the most underrated PP bowlers in world cricket
• Our top 2 has issues against spin, pace n bounce doesnt bother them one bit 
• Imad may not be a wkt taker like shaheen but he can control one end which wud be very crucial with such an inexperienced attack 
• OBV he ll give batting depth to 
• Hassan ali has been struggling for long now

Nawaz can bowl in PP too.  They won't play two left arm spinners.  Pak will go for a pacer.  Either Hassan Dahani or Mir Hamza (130-135 kph left armer) will make the cut.

Sri lanka have brought back Chandimal...  Those sixes vs Starc definately helped & he is in great form. 

Dickwella is dropped.  Bhanuka Rajapaksa also there...  (Potential spin killer)  DDS will be handy with his offies too.  Shnaka the hitter.  Asalanka too.  Kusal Mendis is in form & will likely open. 

Theekshana & Hasarnga on those pitches.  I reckon SL is a lot stronger opposition than Pak with the firepower they got especially with Shaheen out.

not sure if you noticed they have even picked young matheesa pathirana. sl are a more than decent t20 side.

Yes they did...  They also picked a spin heavy side.  Pathirana & Chameera are frontline pacers I guess.  Chamika Shanaka & Madhushanka as all rounders. 

Overall I felt they are playing a paver short but are going by their strengths & conditions in UAE...  They will play at Sharjah too.
