Defending is a nightmare here . Hopefully , we win the toss. it was mostly due to dew which wont be their this time , as tournament progresses it will get tough to bat 2nd . Specially with the heat , pitches will only go towards the slower side.
Lone Wolf Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 These evening game annoys the most... 7:30 PM IST might be night in India but not in Gulf ffs... Match should start at 9:30 to compensate for dew & minimize any sort of advantage to chasing sides. UAE is known for defending totals but these pathetic timings aren't helping matters. AuxiliA and nitinbwj 1 1

First couple of overs need to be bit watchful.

I suppose lateral movement will be a lot less compared to last match but it still will be there for first few. Pitch isn't dead for sure. Naseem's initial burst will be interesting. Rest others are more hit the deck kind.

AuxiliA Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Kohli should open. That's the best spot fir him. He does well against them. Might reduce the chances of an early collapse. If we don't gift them wickets early, we can easily out bat them.

Last world t20, I remember Finch saying that there wasn't much dew but the ball slided onto the bat better in the 2nd innings regardless. Even yesterday, batting got easier in the 2nd innings
