Infact, Chahal is yet to pick a wicket this Asia cup. He did not bowl badly but I would play Bishnoi on Sunday. Also, we need to drop Avesh but the question is replace him with whom? Our selectors screw it up by going only 3 seamers with all of them being trundlers. Now we are desperate for a replacement of Avesh but there is none. I would still drop him and play a spinner rather. Our top 3 remains a concern. I would rather open with Kohli and ask him to play shots. The crucial thing will be toss. If we win the toss, we can again win like last week. But if we are batting first, we are losing the game 100%. If HK can score 152/5 against us, Pakistan will fancy chasing down any target India sets. Last over first two deliveries were around shoulder and batsman didnt know how to handle them. 3rd delivery he tried the same but ball didn't bounce and was in the slot to be tonked , after that bowler lost the plot. Given what we saw in first t20 i wish we had an Ishant like bowler, pak lineup might have a short ball problem.

Full Tosses, Wides and juicy half volleys. Pak's bowling is better than India in these conditions and we do not have a spin basher. Who will hit Shadab and Nawaz for sixes? KL's manhoos presence in this team makes it all the more difficult. Drop him in middle order and open with Kohli. I will take a 35 ball 50 from him. Pant has to play. Chahal is below average spinner with zero variations but he will play still. Probably best option will be to play Hooda instead of Jaddu & Ashwin instead of Avesh. AuxiliA and jf1gp_1 2

Norman Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Axar must play now that Jadeja is gone. Pakistanis are weak against left arm spinnes. Ideally, I would play him in Avesh's place and Hooda for Jadeja but TM will certainly go with Avesh considering the short ball ploy. Likely team... If it comes off it will throw all their planning off track. Rohit tried that against Nawaz last game but got out unfortunately but it was worth it definitely.
