Why are we trying to bring back Trundler Culture in Indian cricket again  ??  Our pace bowling revolution started with the pace and bounce of Bumrah and Shami.and the height of Ishant.

You think bounce alone at 135 will bother batsmen in t20s now?

Very brutal format this, they should have apt bounce with ability to crank at 140+

Only fours overs are there, they should give it their all

Pace below 135-140 will always keep batsmen in the game, even the lower oder bats fancy their chances(barring India) against such bowlers today

Fast yorkers, hard lengths in middle overs are necessity

Swing and movement is needed most in the opening overs

Bounce at 135-145 is more than sufficient. You need to be able to vary the lengths. Bounce matters way more than pace. Steep bounce, throat level bounce and ability to vary the length at fast medium pace is deadly.

Most speedster beauties are **** at bowling bouncers. Like most parkies.

,yes above 140 with bounce is too risky to play against in t20s with added pressure of scoring runs quickly

But t20s are not that simple as people think here, low pace bounce or not won't matter at all in 1-2 year time

9. Bishnoi

10. Bumrah

This kind of a bowling attack would have worked in Australia.

Would love this. But will never happen.

Why?

You have moron parkies going to the other extreme where they look at nothing but speed guns and exclude bounce altogether.

Then we have Indians under Chetan who select trundlers.

Trundlers don't win tournaments. Period. Never will. Unless they have disconcerting bounce and ability to vary length it is impossible.

I was watching a vdo on YT where some Pakistanis were talking about T20. Pakistan inspite of all the trolling and everything plays t20 really well and they were saying that T20 should be seen as a different sport all together and not club it with test and ODIs. Players need to have skill set and mindset. Pace, spin, variations, hitting ability from get go etc.

Yes its entirely different and most difficult format to maintain consistency

It means we need to be ready to make changes to evolve, our top 3 and strike bowling and Chahal are epitome of mediocrity

Indian attack in the finals of wt20 2007-

Joginder Sharma

Irfan Pathan (post chappel)

Sreesanth (the only fast one, gone for 44 runs in 4 overs)

Wc 2010

England's bowling attack

Sidebottom

Broad

Bresnan

2016 WiI

Bravo

Sammy

Braithwaite

Not only are you clueless but you live in a bubble where everything you say is true despite the reality pointing to a completely opposite scenario.

In white ball cricket, both Sreesanth and RP Singh regularly bowled 135 k to 145 k in 2007 and 2008 and Sreesanth touched 149 k while RP touched 148 k in 2007/08.  ( They could not sustain speeds in test matches but that is not relevant here )

Broad was quite quick and bouncy back then. Regularly hit 145 k with bounce. Plus he is 6'5" with a very high release point

Bresnen was very skiddy sharp.

Sidebottom was tall with a high release point. (  One of the bowling types clearly outlined in my OP )

Look at the heights and release points of Brathwaite and Sammy. Braithwaite is 6'8" or so and Sammy is probably 6'6" and both got good bounce. (  Height and Bounce are two of the factors clearly outlined in the OP )

So you choose to pick just 3  T20I tournaments  ( where even these tournaments don't really support your observation )

What about the hundreds of Test matches in the last 50 years ?

What about the 8 ODI World Cups that the WI, Australia snd Pakistan won ?

What about the last T20 World Cup which Australia won with Starc, Hazlewood, Cummins ?

What about the 2 of the Greatest Teams .... WI of 1976 to 1995 and Australia of 1995 to 2010 ?

What about the innumerable ATG pacers in the last 50 years ?
