The ridiculous white ball conditions in India

Small dimensions, fast outfields, fast even paced pitches which get even better under lights with dew etc. 

 

These are ridiculous conditions and bowlers are at the mercy of batsmen. We either need slower pitches or ones with a bit more bounce to challenge the batsmen.

These pitches are the reason why top 3 are striking at 140 or close to that. If they played in UAE, their strike rate would have been 130.

There was extra bounce on this Indore wicket. But usually bounce doesn't make much of a difference against SENA batters and even Indian ones. Infact they prefer bouncier wickets.

 

There's certainly not much wrong with the conditions (for the T20 format) but the boundaries are a joke.

Square and straight boundaries should be atleast 80 meters in T20 cricket to make it even more entertaining. Having flat roads and fast outfields is not the issue at all..

Karachi is traditionally slowest pitch in Pak..   Yet 200+ was scored easily &,  200+ was chased easily too. 

 

Indore is a midget ground.  High scoring is expected. 

Pune favors fast scoring & fast bowling.  Jaipur is low scoring & so is Lucknow etc.  Mohali is balanced.  Dharamsala is Fast bowler paradise in India.  Eden is Flat as a pancake.  Chepauk is worst.   Amdavad is now a 250 max pitch in ODIs with its bounce..  Don't know where they got the soil from.

Mohali wicket has changed.It's a flat patta now.

Pretty much same story all over the world in white ball cricket. The dew makes it worse in India but at least 70% of tracks in India provide some help to spinners.

Most grounds around the world are like this save for Australian ones. In india otoh due to the size of the nation there are many grounds that provide what you're talking about in terms of boundary size and pitch conditions. Indian grounds - even the smaller ones - are preferable to the ones in UAE which don't encourage stroke play at all which is necessary in white ball cricket.
