Austin 3:!6 Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Lets be honest, this time and 1st time in almost two decades, Pakistan is a better team compared to India. They have all the bases covered - terrific bowling attack, in form openers and now even middle order is coming to the party. Most of the Indian players are playing on reputation rather than merit/form. My playing XI: Pant Rohit Kohli KL Surya Pandya Axar Bhuvi Chahal Shami Arshdeep

The match will be in Aus not UAE. They do have a much better bowling attack right now, but that's mostly because of our botched selections and injuries. Their main fast bowler is playing after many many months. Yes bowling wise u can say they are better skilled but if all our bowler perform to their potential they all are very tight bowlers apart from harshal . Our batting is one of the best in all teams forget even comparing to pakistan. coffee_rules, speed_thrills, rollingstoned and 2 others 2 3

Pakistan is a very efficient T20 team not a world beating one but very T20 specific side. Their bowling is just too much stronger than us... Earlier it used to be pace attack only but our main concern is their accurate spinners. Both Nawaz & Shadab are better than the ones we got. And India has 10 freakin right handers in the Team. A one dimensional batting unit. That can either attack pace but can collapse to spin easily. Our formula is very dodgy & defies logic. Enough has been written about our Telly tubby bowling but let's hope Shami catches the rhythm & form before Warm Ups. We do need to get Babar & Rizwan early. Especially Rizwan who is mentally stronger than Babar. AuxiliA 1

As seen today with namibia , if the same game was in asia namibia wud have been struggling against hasaranga n theekshana Yes pakistan is a good team now but conditions is what will make the difference for asian sides this time. U can call pakistan better in asian conditions now specially UAE or at par in england since the bounce is less their which their batsman dont like but Aus conditions are different 12 minutes ago, Lone Wolf said: Our formula is very dodgy & defies logic. They do catchup in asian conditions but can they do it in Australia im very keen to see this .

They have got better new ball attack (with or without Shaheen), better death bowlers, better openers and better spinners. They had weakness in middle order but Nawaz & Haidar Ali coming to form at right time. Assuming this will be the team, man to man as follows: Rizwan > KL Babar > Rohit Fakhar < Kohli Haidar < Surya Ifti < Pandya Asif = DK Nawaz > Axar Shadab > Chahal Shaheen > Bhuvi Naseem > Arshdeep Rauf > Harshal 7 : 3 in Pakistan's favour with 1 touch and go (DK-Asif Ali comparison)

Indian batting holds the key for us as our batters do play bounce really well among Asian sides. But our bowling is a huge unknown... Regarding spin does plays a role in big huuge MCG. However our bozos can milk them easily too with gaps... But that gung ho approach won't work vs spinners coz we don't have those reverse sweeps or switch hits to play with the field. I would rather like us to see play them rather cautiously. In Asia cup on a relatively flat wicket they exploited that..

Norman Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 If we go in with a paceless pace attack of Bubi, Harshal and Arshdeep, we will lose. No two ways about it. And if we play collar chewer, it's a double bonus and it will be an outright humiliation. speed_thrills 1

The best they can do is stop runs which isn't gonna be that easy of they don't pick early wickets. Runs are gonaa be hard to stop in MCG as there are gaps always present. You have to take wickets at the G. Restrictive bowling mostly doesn't works in Australia.

Its not easy clearing these grounds specially for babar and rizwan who lacks power . There are gaps but runs come from rotating which again they aint that good Restrictive bowling dont work when totals are low but when totals are high defensive bowling is as good as its gets IF Axar-Ashwin-Bhuvi-Arsh bowls at their best all are restrictive bowlers but then its literally 12-16 overs of tight overs, somwhere runs have to come specially when Aussie grounds are about 180 total grounds . One bowler (bumrah this yr in IPL) being tight is different then 4 being tight Ill give u another example when chuckig narine was doing well for KKR he made it 16 over game for them but had others leaked runs it wud have gotten tough. On those pitches balaji, chawala were very hard to score . 2 yr back when they went in final it was lockie-narine-varun who were very tight Compare to others years only narine was holding runs but others like cummins, mavi, prasidh, umesh all leaked runs Take SRH xample it wasnt only rashid who was tight but a bhuvi too and one one season kaul, khaleel, nattu came to party and then a tight nabi too Where we have gone wrong in last 2 series is all of em leaked runs , thats why im saying if they all bowl at their potential best and tight it becomes tough .

the don Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 My pakistan 11 Rizwan Babar Fakhar Shadab Haider Nawaz Iftikhar Asif Naseem Rauf Shaheen Pakistan must use matchups. Haider and Shadab/Nawaz must attack the spinner in the middle and should come in when axar and chahal bowl. Iftikhar and asif is a good matchup for pacers at the death Pak should avoid hooking slower bouncers in the air on those long square boundaries. I want pakistan to use their resources fully especially shadab vs spin and make sure his batting is not wasted. Shaheen and Naseem with the new ball can open up the game if they hit the right areas, both extremely skillful newball bowlers. Banton 1

Axar is our 6th bowler so dont u think a captain wud be smart where to use him where not too. Wudnt a captain use him against ur two right handed openers ? 6th bowler , u dnt need to even bowl him full quota unless other bowls bad but then the game wud already be lost. Dont forget its a bigger ground and its often seen going against favourable matchups have ended up in wkts. This isnt indore or chinnaswamy Fakhar anyways have struggled in t20 Neither babar-rizwan is leaving enough time for others. We have ashwin one the best against left handers Edited October 16, 2022 by Ankit_sharma03
