What ?? He was playing all T20 till wc. If he hasn't confirmed seat how come shami got confirmed seat in XI while he was down and out discarded by selector and tm past one year.Shouldn't Harshal who was your main bowler and played till wc projected as main line bowler should have played, but let me tell you he ain't gonna get a dead rubber even against minnows , tell you the selection blunder and brainfade by daravid and selectors. Why you are bringing Kohli here he is not captaining this team and no one cared what he did in 21 as he has been thrown out of captaincy due to that. Coming to kela he has been proven failure in tournaments forget about ko and I don't care about his other 2 format records as it's equally mediocre. Inspite all these now that he is total failure in this wc it's good to try other option before we get knocked out otherwise why do you have other 4 players in 15 for holidaying and touring AUS only.

I don’t believe in this bs player plays selfishly etc but Rahul has had enough chances. India is not like Zimbabwe etc where there are limited resources especially in batting.

if you want to try him in new roles etc there is always the useless bilateral or IPL.

Pant was the only one who scored against T20 WC pressure situation against Pak last time.

 

Samson played match winning innings in his own right.

Who has played as opener and painted the pitch red that KL is denying a place? Samson, Pant played in MO . Gill, Gaikwad all failed as openers in recent T20s

People and Dravid should realise that they are not there to backed certain players rather to win tournament which is long due for India. They come and talk BS bravado and then do Tai tai fiss in tournament it will all look sham. India is not zim, nam or any other country who has scarcity of players so why can't you try other options than backing certain individual who looks completely out of touch and choker.

Except for KOhli till 2017 , nobody has performed in ICC tournaments to single out only KL. Agreed his numbers are bad in. 21-22, let’s see how RoKo have done in SFs, even Sky had one success in recent SA game. He failed twice against Pak in pressure games albeit it’s a small sample size for Sky. Doesn’t KL warrant selection in WC squad and has he blocked someone who has outperformed him as an opener in T20s?

no he has earned a shot in the squad. Probably will be in the fringes too. I have a problem with him being continued despite multiple failures especially with crunch matches coming up.

 

He is adding 0 value right now.

 

Rohit is the captain so pls don’t even go there that we should drop him and Kohli has done his job already.

You know Vinay koomar always performed in domestic top the chart but while he debut in test got exposed, he went back to domestic and again top the chart but sadly never get selected in test. Not exactly same like Vinnie koomar,kela always perform in biletral but coming to tournaments he always choked against big teams.

First, no one who makes it as far as the Indian cricket team is a mental midget.  This is a highly talented player who is going through a tough time, and if handled correctly, can contribute for several years.  As @coffee_rulespointed out, he scored quick runs against (even I had forgotten this and just looked it up) against SA and Aus recently.  Admittedly under different conditions, but quick runs nevertheless. 

 

But he has hit a wall (no pun intended) and seems to be really struggling again.  The issue for me is that the India team is not the place and the WC is not the time for him to "work things out."  Multiple failures to capitalize in the PP and the team can be booted from the tournament.  There are no 2nd chances. 

 

So, ideally, TM should give him a break and try something different - say Pant to open (his T20I record is not too flattering either, but what else do you do?).  It's not an insult, nothing personal, just a quick personnel measure to help the team and possibly help the player out too.  Now, what do you do with DK?

To some extent, KLR is a victim of his own talent and the expectations that come with it.  We have seen that he has the game to completely dominate even good attacks; we just wished he would take a crack at them from the word GO in the PP - because he, more than most, can do it.

Problem is that selectors and TM have not really groomed anyone else to be the PP enforcer.  So, if the anointed one is out of form, team is out of luck.  Just got to put Pant out there and see what happens.  And like some have suggested, use KLR to replace DK in the M.O.

Man Indian cricket is going the same way as Bollywood .

Absolutely no accountability in any department/Sphere,  No hard questions Asked ,No proper reply given ,Full PR and Gimmicks going on and deluded Management,players who take the public for granted ,rather fools !!. 

Also the Tkt price for any match (Same as A movie tkt) is insanely high
