We always knew Rohit,Kohli and disgusting Kela will feature the wc squad even if they had not played for 10-12 mnths But Boobie?does he enjoy that amount of leverage on selectors like the above names do?Shami directly played on 23rd Oct while being nowhere in the picture for last year Howcome it was so difficult to imagine a pace attack without these two? Siraj was backing up Shami, why not in main XI?and the names which you suggested should have been in the reckoning not these Boobies,Harshals etc Vijy, express bowling, AKane and 1 other 4
Chaos Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 I wouldnt blame the W’s. It aweful to watch our bowling at 120s while other team bowling in 150s. Bhuvi only bowls knuckle balls and mr.singh is shitting in his if he sees anyone attacking in bowling. Less said the better about our spin bowlers. express bowling and Vijy 2

Do you have contacts in BCCI to raise his matter. He and that Sohail Tancheer should not be allowed to enter India . Please raise with BCCI and home ministry. Start a social media effort to ban entry of these guys in India ok ill call uncle Modi to relay ur wish. :)

Problem is with variations, everyone in our T20 setup thinks that gimmicks like slow ball, knuch ball, leg cutter, off cutter is the way to go in T20's. When a bowler talks about bowling "24 slow balls" in a T20 tells you a lot about his and the TM's mindset which backs him. While those gimmicks can be useful as a surprise element, but they're not a replacement for traditional quick yorkers, bouncers, movement of the pitch and hard lengths at any cost. Similarly Doosra/Carrom Ball is an exceptional weapon if spinner knows how to use it as a weapon of surprise, but not when every 2nd or 3rd delivery is that. Unfortunately, most of our Indian pitches are slow and help these gimmicky bowlers to do well in IPL, which lead a false proposition in mind of TM that we've cracked the code....and then we carry that proposition everywhere irrespective of the pitch, conditions, opponent etc. express bowling and Mosher 2
FischerTal Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Umran gives me hope but I hope he doesn’t go the Varun Aaron way. He’s still slightly wayward but I’ll pick him anyday over trundlers like Bhuvi or Arshdeep Vijy and express bowling 2

Would India have benefitted from 150k bowler , every team would benefit from great fast bowler. But an isolated 150k bowler will not change India's fortunes. Those bowlers don't grow on trees bumrah injured India did not develop any of the recent 145+ bowlers from ipl in the season leading up to t20 wc. They might have done well if they were given chances in the lead up and selected for the wc.That’s the point. So bowling faster than them then is no great achievement. Akram and Younis at their peak were better faster and more scarier than Srinath ever was at any point in his career .They both are ATG fast bowlers unlike Srinath.

I did not see anyone other than Umran who is clearly not ready. Who are those 145 plus bowlers you are talking about. Please don't say Praisdh Krishna. Personally I would have kicked out Bhuvi from Indian team in 2019. I doubt they would they have done better job defending 170 aganst England on that pitch.

Problem is with the selectors and Rohit sharma. He needs to deliver in all aspects , IPL is not a Yardstick. Also if Bhuvi and Chahar who are said to be skillfull bowlers and would continue to bowl at 125 KMPH the selectors need to check why these guys get injured so often. Both stopped playing domestic cricket all together.
