Popular Post badmash Posted November 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted November 12, 2022 (edited) “Wasim bhai, I don't know if you remember. Recently Asia Cup me jab ham log the, unke commentators bhi the. They had long shows, were talking about team combinations and all. Uss discussions me ham log bhi the, we were talking about our side. And they were just more keen on bowlers who control the game. Just bowl good seam, which is good, you need 1-2 bowlers like that. But we were insisting that you need to look into pace,” Waqar said on A Sports. Pace does wonders on Australian grounds and in general when you can’t rely on swing/seam only the pace sensations that you did have, you didn’t give them enough chances to settle in: Umesh Yadav debuted in 2010 and only payed 75 Odis so far Varun Aaron debuted in 2011 and only played 9 Odis Umran Malik … who knows when he will get a chance the culture has always been to promote line and length trundlers who only work under swinging conditions where you can swing or seam the ball from good length Edited November 12, 2022 by badmash Vilander, Nash, raki05 and 11 others 1 13
Popular Post express bowling Posted November 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted November 12, 2022 This is exactly what was happening during the Asia Cup. Both Wasim and Waqar were trying to discuss the quick bowlers available in India. They said that they saw lots of Indians bowling quick in the IPL. Where are they now and why are they not playing for India ? They tried to point out that Hardik is consistently bowling 140 to 145 k with bounce. None of the Indian commentators, barring Gambhir, showed any interest in the assessment of the two Ws on Indian quicks and Shastri kept changing the subject. It was appalling and sad to see the reactions of Indian commentators when pace was being discussed. Suhaan, AKane, Nash and 10 others 1 1 11
Suhaan Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Only thing i love about Pakistan is their love for pure pace Pace bina jeevan soon, maza kidhar hai Bina pace success nahi, excitement nahi aur WC nahi raki05, Kipper, Mosher and 1 other 4
Popular Post express bowling Posted November 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted November 12, 2022 During the Asia Cup and even now, both Wasim and Waqar were really passionate and interested about the Indian pace prospects. It's like they really really wanted some good quslity quicks to play for India, despite being arch rivsls. Thing is .... these 2 just love high quality quick bowling and can't stand it that so much pace talent is being wasted in India with the likes of Bhuvi and Harshal hogging spots. if you really love something ( quick bowling in this case ) then you forget everything else like Country of origin of a bowler and want the best display of fast boeling possible. One can see why they became greats .... it's not just the talent but the humongous passion for Fast bowling. Respect for this ! One can see a very similar thing when Tendulkar discusses batting prospects of any country. Again that fierce passion comes out. Even Brett Lee can't stand it that wd are wasting our quick bowling talents. He has similar passion about quick bowling. sorak, vivek04, Norman and 15 others 6 12

Popular Post Hell Raiser Posted November 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted November 12, 2022 As far as fast bowling is concerned we just don't have the system that promotes fast bowling be it at any level. Our system is hell bent on proving to the world that 5'8- 5'9 medium pace bowlers can also succeed international level. We are doing this for last 75 years without any results to show for. Despite Bumrah and Shami showing the way and leading the way still those people consider that these two are just an aberration. They go gaga over praising foreign fast bowlers but just don't want to produce and promote the same in India. Their thinking is rotten to the core. They just want to keep adoring the likes of Bhuvi and alikes wherever these bowlers wouldn't even be in contention unless they are also good with bat. But here in india they become spear head of our bowling and lead our attack. In other countries people involved in cricket knows one basic thing. If a bowler have pace you can work upon his skill set and improve them. Thats why other countries have produced so many great fast bowlers and will continue to do so. But Indians just can't decipher this basic thing. I6MTW, rollingstoned, Nash and 10 others 2 6 5

What do you think he will look for in a bowler? Srinath or Zaheer khan should be given the responsibility of nurturing pace bowlers. raki05 and Vilander 2

Not really. The Captain and Coach provide a strong preference list to the selectors. Only a couple of fringe players are probably decided by the sectors alone. Or maybe an odd main player here and there. If Dravid and Rohit had asked for a couple of tall hit the deck pacers for Australia, I am sure they would have got it. And they had 7 such pacers to choose from. Edited November 12, 2022 by express bowling AKane, raki05, Vijy and 3 others 6
First class Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 (edited) India does produce quality pace bowler, Indian public admire sheer pace, its just the people in power don;t get it. There was a brief period in recent past when Indian pacers had more pace than Pakistani pacers at that time with Bhumra, Shami, Yadec and Siani in the team and team had some success, but now back to the old ways , that too in Australia , unbelievable . Average people make everything around them below average. Appointments made by Ganguly & Jay Shah have set Indian cricket back to at least pre 2016. At least Kohli & Shastri had the vision to have a pace attack.. A lot of progress could have been achieved but the amount of sheer incompetence in BCCI would make any organization go nuts. I can only imagine how things must be at grassroot level. raki05, Mosher and AKane 3

Absolutely correct, everyone was in a hurry to remove Kohli and Shastri. Rohit sharma had never even captained in Ranji trophy based on IPL they made himTest match captain
ind_hyd1 Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 A lot depends upon Dravid, he should be as aggressive . When he was captain he pushed for inclusion of Munaf patel and Sreesanth into the squad . We won test matches in SA,WI and Eng Hope he can resist the defensive thoughts and senseless captaincy of Rohit . Clearly Rohit Sharma isn't upto the mark as a captain so is Rahul. Its time Dravid takes charge and tries to develop a pool of pacers. He can work hard to get careers of Prasidh,Avesh , Kuldeep, Nagarkoti,Umran,Mohsin back on track. That should be his top priority express bowling 1
