Some great political thinker (I don't recall who) said that "Everything in the World needs protection of a State". The abrahamic religions function like proper political organisations. They have their Churches/Mosques and religious nation states. While Hinduism is a spiritual religion not a political one. Only (practical) way through which Hindus can survive and prosper in the long run is to constitutionally declare India a Hindu country, where conversions are banned and Hindu rights are protected by law. We missed a Massive opportunity at the time of partition and during the initial years of Independence.
