He must not have impressed much as a bowler, even MI didn't have guts to play him when they needed someone like him last IPL.

It proves Trundler(peace be upon him) love is Pinnacle of all love for bcci , state board, selectors and TM. When the great Sachin's son who potentially can be a good alrounder has been denied debut since past 3 years for some no name trundlers other fast bowlers doesn't stand a chance. Trundler(peace be upon him) love is one true love.

Arjun hasn't bowled much and he bowls just above 130 range. There is high possibility he might trundle in future. I don't blame selectors for not selecting Arjun. You need to have some performance to show to get selected. Hopefully Arjun will do that from now.

But what about other trundlers (peace be upon them) playing for Mumbai and other states, atleast pace wise he can definitely match them and bat better than these Tushars and Dhawals. In addition to that he is quite tall and we can easily agree Zimbabwe to tour us by sending fake Mr. Bieber to them .

MI did not have the guts to play Mohsin Khan either.

 

Saw Arjun bowling vs Hyderabad and he has everything as a bowler. Pace, bounce, height, outswing upfront, surprise bouncers inbetween and indipping yorkers at the death. 

 

Plus he has game sense.

I will be very surprised if he does not clock 130 k to 145 k in the IPL. 

 

Plus he gets steep bounce from a high release point.

He has scored a century not taken a 5fer and we are discussing his bowling.

 

My point is as simple as it can get. Arjun hasn't shown great performance till now and infact he hasn't played much either. It's difficult to select someone who hasnt played much. Now that he has started playing Ranji he can perform and selectors can take notice of him seriously.

Mohsin was in MI squad in 2018 when he was a rookie who just started out. Besides with Bumrah, Mustafizur, Milne, McClanahan, Hardik, Ben Cutting there were so many pace bowling options that a rookie bowler will find it difficult obviously.

 

Arjun is a great prospect. Has all the ingredients of a good pace bowler. Can he sustain speeds is my question? Maybe those who have followed his progress till now can answer this question?

That's true but what usually happens is that rookie pacers get one or two games if they have the qualities like Mohsin.

He will have to play the full FC season and practice sustaining pace.  Applies to other young quicks too.
