I love how vague whispers of 'issues' are used to justify dropping a test match opener after one dismissal in a pink ball test where India ended up with 36/9.

I mean, no excuses for bad fitness, bad work ethic or anything like that.  But do we really know this for a fact?

there is no smoke without fire but there is a strong enough smoke (no pun intended) when it comes to Shaw.

I mean is it even a debate if Shaw looks talented or not visually and there are no numbers reasoning to keep him out either.

there are enough voices around to point out  why he is out of favor.

it’s not like tm and every powers out there hate Shaw personally.

he plays for Mumbai and not some small team and is a u-19 wc winning captain.

do the math

Was undroppable, selectors who tried to drop him got dropped next day themselves (Amarnath).

That is where system needs cleanising.Selectors have to be empowered to drop any player. Idiot like Jay Shah is holding the most important post in BCCI due his corrupt politician father.

A news reporter wouldn't indicate openly on national TV if there is not something serious.

sorry, but that's........ludicrous.

Would be fun if they could incorporate some more stats in the broadcast. Just for entertainment purpose. Things like the weight of the bat a batsman’s using, speed of the bat at the time of impact, percentage reduction in the balls speed for a length ball for different kind of bowlers. There’s just no innovation these days.

Why should non cricketing reasons matter if he's producing the numbers? (dunno his recent form)

we tend to make selectors, tm etc like villains but clearly there is a strong enough reason here and also one look a Shaw and his fitness doesn’t help either. I don’t think even they feel he is not talented.
