Greatest pacers ever from Asia. Based on performance vs big sides in test.

Taken out india from wasim paji and

Waqar pav bhaji

As in excluded all india pak h2h games.

Bumrah aka chookrah avg 24 vs phoren sena

Imran khan 26.17 had to include w.indies here

Wasim bhai 28.7 avg vs sewa

Shamza shami at 30.17 vs sena

Wacqar at 30.39 vs sena

Could change to sewa I suppose but ok.

Kapil bhaji 34 vs sewai

Shaoib 35 vs sena

So even in bowling india bowlers are ahead roflmao.

Kya bhaat hain.

Yeh bhi waat lagi.

Controversial comment, but I think Kapil Dev would be a great support bowler. Not the strike bowler. There just werent any other pacers for that too happen.

Srinath was a great bowler, but I think he was a better test bowler.

Level 1- Bumrah, Shami, Zaheer, Siraj ( Early to say), Srinath

In between Level 1 and 2- Kapil, Irfan

Level 2- Agarkar, Nehra, Sreesanth, Ishant Sharma

Level 3- Many.... Maybe RP Singh,

Agarkar in ODIs was a wicket taker..my assumption would be that in present era, his economy would be close to 6 but average around 26-27.

The two best Indian team would have bowling attack as:

India A - Kapil, Harbhajan, Kumble, Zak, Bumrah( Zak over Shami because having left armers always an advantage in ODIs)

India B - Pathan, Kuldeep, Shami, Srinath, Chahal

India C - Jadeja, Agarkar, Nehra, Siraj, V Prasad

he declined badly since 2018

His peak was in CT 2013...when stats was decent.

Post that he has been mediocre apart from odd performances here and there under favourable conditions.

Umesh Yadav has given more performances than him, but he is ridiculed for his inconsistency.

As for the thread. Sorry for derailing but here are bhuvi stats vs sena in odi.

Bhuvi was a good test bowler but a complete fraud in odi

Averages 74.5 vs sena away

74.5. Let that sink in.

Average of 200 vs s Africa.

200 roflmao

He wasn't that good even in tests, post 2013/14 he was exclusively played on green tops in India - that Kolkata game vs NZ in 2016, then again vs SL in 2017 & a few in between? He was good on surfaces that suited him & his style of bowling but MS ran him into the ground in 2014 Eng & he was never fully fit for 2-3 tests in a row after that!

Yes absolutely but he was doing really well in sen conditions and on Indian pitches that had some green on it. He did well in w.indies too iirc. Can't remember. He only struggled in Australia and turning pitches.

At his best in tests he was a philtrundler level bowler. Very condition dependent but a very good bowler for those conditions.

Perfect way to stat pad like these gora chora bowlers on juicy tracks. Ngidi, Jansen rabada and Cummins all stat pad on bouncy or seaming wickets.

Yes ideally if he stayed fit for the 2018 tests in Eng we might've had better results, but for some reasons Brat decided to play him in that ODI just before the series & we got *ed because of that or maybe he never really wanted to play the tests himself & did that stunt to ensure he doesn't have to play!

Possibly. We would have won in 2018 back in England and probably nz in 2020 too. He'll if we had picked siraj over chukrah in the finals and even that nz series earlier we would have won as chukrah was choking and just back from injury. He bowled the worst in the final. Fkn pathetic. Everyone else bowled well except him.

Irfan Pathan had a very good strike rate in the Powerplay by our standards anyway. Not sure about pre 1999. But 1999 onwards, he was one of our best.

Irfan was a quality bowler till he was good enough. Problem was he faded away after few good years which is why ended up with only 170 wickets.

By 2006, he was having 114 wickets at 25 with economy of 5.

Let us also look at total international wickets of all fast bowlers for India :-

Kapil Dev - 687( AVG 28)

Zaheer Khan - 597( AVG 31)

Javagal Srinath - 551( AVG 29)

Ishant Sharma - 434( AVG 32)

Mohammad Shami - 399(AVG 26)

Ajit Agarkar - 349(AVG 31)

Jasprit Bumrah - 319(AVG 22)

Irfan Pathan - 301( AVG 29)

Bumrah and Shami are well behind in terms of wickets tally compared to top three.

Shami missed many matches due to our TM's fetish of playing Bhuvi.

Else he would have crossed 250 wickets in ODI by now.
