He's partly right, we'll see what the colonists do when they play in tougher conditions against proper test teams i.e. Oz & in India :cantstop:

Ashes will be litmus test for BazBall...  If that works there,  then perhaps it will be fine.  It worked against India in Edgbaston.

In India Bazballing will always be tough but u can do a calculated assault like Pant does or Iyer.   They nicked a test last time & were close to winning another test if not for Pant & Sundar.

In Australia they sh*** their pants...  Australia is arguably best place to BazBall after Pakistan.  Travis Head & Warner do it to oppositions.

They have to defeat their mental block & start taking Ashes normally.  Any team that can demolish Saffers home & away like England does has no reason skill wise to fail in Aus.

I guess as Indian teams loses it steam in ICC events due to extreme pressure same happens to England in Ashes.  They get absolutely wrecked by nothing bowlers like Boland.

That was with the bad batch of Dukes, the ball was changed what 8-10 times at least in that test? The other issue was that we played that standalone test with an understrength side & virtually no practice - having said that our tactics IMO led to our defeat. On the fourth day session one we should've aimed to bat at least 30-50 more overs but we got out playing stupid shots! It reminded me of the WTC final last day

There are times where drawing the game first should be your aim & in both cases we failed in doing that with the bat. Had we batted 20-50 overs more, in both scenarios, we could've pulled off a draw/win in WTC & fifth test. Time is still a major factor in tests & should be used strategically!

When are Poms touring Aus/Ind next?

If Kiwis prepares proper green tops like they do against Asian sides, Bazball XI will get outscored by NZ tail.

Kiwis prepare flat decks mostly to negate Broad & Andy...  Kiwis are most scaredy cats among SENA teams.

I expect Poms to roll them over on a flat Bay Oval track.  It's slowest & flattest among all NZ pitches.   Pak almost drew that game vs NZ but fell short.

Bangla pulled off a win there.   They will never host India) /SL there or even Pak after last time.

Windy Wellington can be tricky.

Elgar probably started thinking of himself very highly like he is some Graeme Smith alike after that win against India and ended up doing a bit of trash talk which hasn't helped his case because his team has been back to usual mediocrity.

Bazball is not easy in Australia. Especially at places like Gabba and Perth. The bounce and high release points of OZ quicks will make it difficult to hit out consistently . The reason England do well in SA is the lateral movement that their bowlers get. Even in Pakistan, Bazball didn't work so much as Pakistan getting bullied by the reverse swing generated by Jimmy and Mark Wood.
