India vs Australia or India vs England is a better encounter than India v Pakistan currently.

 

Maybe for Pakistan, it is, because they don't have anything else left in their cricket repotire to attract the funds.

 

But for Indians, a series victory against Australia, England or SA matter more from a cricketing point of view.

You must be new to India then, sure he might not be winning elections or hold onto the same position of power but out there in the real world, after getting richer as years pass by, his influence will not diminish. In fact it will only increase till at least thy HM is alive! There are 2 major things that drive the world today - power/influence & of course money - you can have both but even with just money you drive an entire nation as lobbyists in US have proven. This is true for 99% of nations out there, including China or India.
