They were architects of our 12 years long run, Rohit had very little to do with it, no wonder he was so shameless despite the humiliation. If you remember, earlier as well Rohit tried to claim credit for 2020-21 BGT and the Eng away tour after that. vvvslaxman, Lord, Ultimate_Game and 1 other 1 3

Every good run has to end sometime but it didn’t take extraordinary performances like Cook and KP in 2012 . Losing to NZ was a disgrace. Captain and coach had more to do for that loss . Majestic Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 If Jadeja can end this series with good numbers in Australia with both bat and bowl, he will go down as an ATG test cricketer. He will have phenomenal record in India, SL, WI and Aus and all that over a more than decent sample. His overall career sample will also be 80 tests. In South Africa, he averages 25 with bowl already. In England, his stats are okayish too given that he has a test hundred and a decent number of wickets. Overall, he has done well all round and ticked all the boxes. If he fails with bowl, he performs with bat and if he fails with bat, he performs with bowl too. Always among top 3 bowlers and top 4 batters of a given series which is phenomenal. He has ticked all the boxes. The GOAT Asian Test team has produced 4 ATGs - Kohli( all format ATG), Ashwin, Jadeja and Bumrah.

Not sure that he can be considered an ATG in world cricket for tests. If we just stick to India, perhaps he can be called a Test ATG as well.
vvvslaxman Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 Since Jadeja's debut the test against Windies was the very first test at home where Jadeja played without Ashwin !!! Gollum 1

But for me Ashwin-Jadeja partnership was our most iconic. Despite criticism of their SENA record, these 2 guys combined so well and played a big role in 20-21 BGT win, our greatest ever achievement in this sport. Not many spinning duos can lay claim to such a feat. Even towards the end of this partnerhsip, they combined to rescue us from 120/6 on day 1 against Bangladesh in Chennai last year...Toygers bowling attack (esp. pace) was good that series and were fresh from 2-0 win in Pak just before that. Even with the bat they have contributed with clutch partnerships. rollingstoned, tapandrun and Lord 3
