vvvslaxman Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Last 5 years 8000 plus balls plus IPL workload
vvvslaxman Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 1350 overs + IPL Overs with taht action? Injury waiting to happen. Workload management should have started much earlier SRT100 1
cowboysfan Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 the lack of transparency is most glaring when it comes to the BCCI.the fans are the one writing the checks but they are teated like dirt.Fans deserve to know the extent of injuries and their recovery timeline. nitinbwj 1

I would trust him more in SA Dint he get taken to the cleansers in SA? When he first played. Too young I agree. nitinbwj 1

nevada Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 The worst fears seem to be coming true. Hope he can make a comeback at some point for only tests and the IPL.

Suhaan Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Bumrah needs to hire someone like Steffan Jones now, don't need to loose hope If he still has the will to bowl fast,he certainly can Need some high performance bowling coach, who understands fast bowling without reducing his capabilities and effectiveness,he can certainly afford Jones express bowling 1

vvvslaxman Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Batsmen can bat for years. Fast bowlers like Bumrah eventually feel the pinch. Sinking feeling of never being able to bowl again must be weighing him down. Only Bumrah can answer how his current state is. He may have to give up on Tests focusing only on T20s.

That short run up & action was never going to be long term. Akhtar called it way before. Say whatever but Akhtar knows his injuries & fast bowling biomechanics.

Say whatever but Akhtar knows his injuries & fast bowling biomechanics. That action is not a smoothly repeatable action at all. It is a miracle he has survived this long with that action in all three formats. Boult, Cummins, Rabada all have relatively traditional actions. They gather momentum through running. Even Mohammad shami, Ishant for example. I bet Ishant can bowl an entire Test match even now. Vilander 1
