So simple to make this india team string

Jaiswal

Fat cunt...ideally should be eeshawaran or someone new but ok

Sarfraz

Gill

Patidar

Sundar

Ishan

Judaaajaa

Ass win

Kuldeeepaaaaaaa

Shami

Or if u want more pace drop or give rest to ass win. He will whine but I don't give a ****. Play umesh and shami.

This team should comfortably trample Oz but we won't pick it.

So most likely would be

Rohit

Gill in wrong position

Gill at 4 can't play spin for toffee though. and sarfaraz is a classic no. 4 or no. 5.

Axar Patel the bowler averages 103 in this series. Is it due to misuse of his bowling? Or he is a one series wonder? He didn't try to turn conventionally. Guys like sams mulani , saurabh are likely to be more.potent on these pitches.

With our subpar batting and underbowling of quicks I have no idea how Siraj is playing ahead of Sundar every test!!! Heck Sundar isn't even in the squad, Dravid is a moron.

yes, he is a moron. and I don't think the loss was a one-off; expecting to see one more in the 4th test.

Axar Patel's scores in this test series are ....

74  batting at 4

84

12 not out

15 not out

And not just the scores, he has looked really good against spin. Played with confidence and assurance.Which is a rarity in Indian cricket these days.

Team India won't be able to draw any test match. Our batting is too weak for that. Even if we pack the team with 11 batters, most of them will get out to spin cheaply. This maybe sad but unfortunately true.

Our best way forward in this test is to have 5 solid bowers and win the test.

Batting till 8 should be more than enough in any match.  Anything more means the Team is playing defensively and compromising with wicket taking ability, and such mindset rarely wins matches.

Seriously most of our specialist batsmen can't score 5 runs confidently and we are discussing what changes to make in bowling department? Never change ICF:hysterical:

batting changes cannot really happen because one can only select from the given 15, most of whom are duds. In bowling, at least, there is some freedom to pick and choose. for instance, kuldeep could come in for asswin (jaddu stays for AR skills and Axar for batting) and shami could come in for siraj

to clarify further, dropping asswin may seem like firing oneself in the foot, but we need to plan ahead (he's practically at the end of his career) and he has been outbowled by lyon.

I think 4th test is a good time to bring in kuldeep, but not as 3rd or 4th spinner.

Ashwin has better stats than Lyon, but Lyon ran through the entire lineup twice with less support (i.e., murphy and kuhnemann have much less experience in indian conditions)

Lyon 19 wickets at 17.95 a piece.

Ashwin 18 wickets at 15.72 a piece

This is more or less equal, even if one has an edge it is miniscule. Outbowling is what Ashwin did vs Lyon in 2020-21 BGT.

Lyon is lucky Pant isn't playing this series, couple of shots with intent and he would have lost his length/line in Indore.

How many of these top order bats would you play ahead of Ashwin just for batting? Serious question.

We saw who's who in the 2nd test in Bangladesh.

lyon has even more, I think (asswin took 4 in the match we lost; lyon took 11). our bowling is not the problem - if not ashwin, even sundar could take as many wickets on these pitches. we need batters who score runs. if kuldeep and jaddu (and axar to a much lesser degree) can't do the job of taking wickets, I doubt asswin can.

bottom line: ass' performance on these bunsens is subpar. the same is admittedly true for jaddu and axar, but they are better batters. so drop ass and bring in kuldeep. once more, this asswin has flattered to deceive. let's not forget what happened in SA

Your entire analysis is 100% wrong bud.

Total wickets for the match cannot be compared because we effectively bowled in only one innings.

If our batsmen had got even 200 in first innings, we would have been 3-0 by now with Ashwin and Jaddu having 22-25 wickets each for the series.

If  just two players could out of Pujara, Kohli, Iyer,Gill, Rohit had these scores on a regular basis, they would have made all the difference.

Our batsmen are incompetent, cannot even do basic things like guiding the team to a win or safe par score let alone above par.

The next Ravi Shastri? One who started as SLO and lower order bat, and became a gritty all-rounder, including a tough opener?

Exciting or boring?

Best line up is one that is not going to play as a) you can’t measure their performance, b) claim that they would have done better than those playing, and c) can portray yourself as smarter than selectors

You only have 3-4 players who are not in the squad. Add a few more names like Sarfaraz, etc. to make the 11 “exciting”. If a Sarfaraz is in the squad, you would have to find someone else (based on performances in a relatively low quality Ranji game).

Btw, bowlers can score runs if they play with less pressure. Give them a regular top 5-6 spot and they can falter big time.

Produce a road for 5 days, our team is pathetic.

At least some chance of a draw and some pride retained in winning the series.

frankly this team outside of the bowlers is unwatchable.the aussies should be leading this series 2-1 if they dint mess up the 2nd test.we have very good players of spin languishing in the Irani trophy and who wont even get a game this year until Kohli thinks he has had enough of test cricket because nobody has the balls to drop him.

Not meant to be serious - just a frustrated fan's f-d-up fantasy.

I give you Aus 2020-21.  Sundar, Gill, Natarajan etc etc wouldn't never have seen the field except the regulars who were selected by the smart selectors were unavailable.  Next thing you know, these newbies are making history.

Below is a thread on Sundar and read the comments there before he was tried:

Actually this is a great post.

Never ever since I have been following India have not had any interest in seeing our batsmen bat, aside from Ash Jaddu and Axar.

Not a single batsman excites or thrills me. Not a single batsman gives me any confidence whatsoever.
