Good post. But to be honest, this is not something that is unique to the BJP. Some of the strongest advocates to make Hindi the Rashtra bhasha were originally from the Congress.

Pew had done a survey and the response in Central India to a question which linked speaking Hindi to Indian identity was exceptionally strong.

I studied in top 10 MBA college in the country and you would still have inebriated dudes who would come up to me and tell me that the fact that my preferred  languafe of communication is English makes them angry. And the fact that the South as a whole chooses not to communicate in Hindi makes them angry.

If the South and states with strong regional cultures do not band together, we will continue to slide and become second class citizens to the homogenesing influenceof the Gangetic culture - politically, economically, culturally

If someone actually knows Hindi and is standing in a group of people talking in Hindi and still talks in English thinking that this will somehow prevent Hindi from dominating over his mother-tongue (which is not even English) , then I would pity him rather than being angry...

Something has shifted on the ground. Perhaps Congress peaked too early. This is an absolute panic reaction.

They are getting desperate now. National Party adopting a non-state model of Delhi, or DMK. Free bus tickets to wimin. No wonder DMK and AAP came back to power with such mufatkhor offers. Ram save Bharat. feminism is in bed with such offers.

Only for BPL card holders and not for all. With the amount of wastage in sarkari godaam, it’s better to distribute it to the poor

ABP Cvoter Opinion Poll: BJP's Fort In Danger As Congress Could Secure Comfortable Majority In Karnataka

Ahead of May 10 assembly elections in Karnataka, ABP-CVoter has come out with interesting outcomes through its opinion poll that suggests a change of regime in the southern state. The ABP-CVoter hints at the Congress forming government in Karnataka while the BJP could lose big and JD(S) performance could be quite below the mark. The opinion polls numbers are not good for the ruling BJP which has a mammoth task of saving its only Southern fort while the Congress attempts to take the state from the saffron party’s control.

ABP News along with CVoter spoke to the voters of Karnataka and received responses from 17,772 people. Opinion poll figures show that out of 224 assembly seats in Karnataka, a maximum of 107 to 119 seats can go to the Congress. The BJP is likely to get 74 to 86 seats and the JD(S) can get 23 to 35 seats. Whereas others have been shown getting 0 to 5 seats.

BJP - 74 to 86 seats

Congress - 107 to 119 seats

JD(S) - 23 to 35 seats

Others - 0 to 5 seats

The voteshare of CVoter does not correlate with the seats.

BJP got more than Cong in terms of seats despite being 3% less in vote in the last few election cycles in the first past the post system.

CVoter shows Congress 5% ahead in terms of voteshare, and winning outright?

Either the voteshare is wrong or the seat share.

I think the way the BJP have set up, they are predicting it to be hung. They will aim for 80-95 seats.

They will wait for DKS faction to lead the alliance with Jd(S). Sidda will try to destabalise from the outside.

Let Cong and JD(s) become unpopular before Ls 2024. Gain most seats. Then use CG to do an operation lotus.

We need to wait and see what happens. Good thing from the BJP is that they have controlled rebellion and have some good fresh faces.

The future of the BJP is BSY's son.

The problem with opinion polls is that they fail to predict strategic voting by Jd(s) and BJP cadre in Old Mysore and Bangaluru. There is a floating 3--4% vote in these seats which will shift on election day depending on the dictate from higher up.

If BJP does end up getting 35% as per CVoter then they will 100% by in the 85-100 segment.

Boss, you are wrong. There are enough in BJP to keep him out. Ashok, Kateel, CT Ravi can keep him out, plus he is not charismatic

Upcoming Infra projects in Karnataka

1. Shivamogga airport - stalled by Congis in 2015, restarted after 2020 by BJP.

2. Mysore Chennai high speed rail link.

3. Bengalore-Chennai, Bangalore-Vijaywada expressways

4. Raichur, Bijapur, Bellary airports

5. Bangalore peripheral ring road.

BJP needs to sell its efficiency in getting things done over Congress sluggish and negligence on Infra.

They have already delivered Bangalore Mysore expressway. So people should be inclined to trust them. Need to sell that if Congress-JDS come to power they will lose 5 years on these projects.

I am a big admirer of this guy. Hope he is able to become mass leader in TN. He is definitely a PM material.

I don’t know why he had to engage with that casteist commie rag called TheNaxalMinute. Dhanya is a biased ideologically driven and a Karnataka hater. TNM is based in Bengaluru has never covered Kar in a positive light. There was no need to talk to her, a interview for her dmk jamaat to forward on WhatsApp groups clapping about how he was cut down to size
