Punjab and Lucknow are capable of losing winnable games so definitely the other 4 looks stronger. Others in the bottom 4 don't look convincing either.

with the exception of DC, most teams are still in the reckoning

For heaven's sake no LSG, please. Loser team.  RCB better get DK role fixed. Otherwise 2 men army cannot win anything. Faf is a serious competitior. I would rather like to see him in the play offs than Hahul.

LSG, RCB are just semifinals specialists. They will not win the trophy anyways.

 

LSG is younger brother of RCB.

Loss in last 2 games have taken Rajasthan in 2nd spot

The standings are not straightforward as teams play certain teams twice and certain ones once, so if a team is playing one of the weaker teams twice, it has a better chance of getting additional points. Which team plays which team twice and which one once is below: 

 

Group A - Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants.
Group B - Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans

10 teams will play a total of 14 matches - seven home and seven away. Each team will play the five teams of the other group twice and the other four from their own group once.

KKR is far from worse. Their west Indian mercenary contributed zilch. They essentially played with 10 players for the most part.  They have great potential to make the playoffs. Pace department is where they struggle.  DC/SRH are hopeless. RCB is basically 2+1 match winners.

DC are SRH are the two worst teams. KKR is easily better than the two

The West Indian mercenary is the best pacer they have.
