Yeah odis and Tests in the subcontinent is pretty much his forte so this was his biggest moment.

That's too big of a risk for a minimal reward. Teams will just bring in genuine pace bowlers and he'll in all sorts. 

 

Same thing I hear from Pak fans when they vouch for Shadab in the top 6 when his ability against anything above 135 KPH is tail enderesque.

I know. It would have been worth it if he was bowling well but he's not.  So there's really no point.  We don't really have spin hitters through the middle and that's a big issue.

3rd Sept is the deadline for submission of the WC squad.   If KL and Iyer miss out on the Asia Cup, that would mean their exclusion from the WC as well.  (KL missing out hardly makes a difference.  But Iyer will be missed)

What's the point of including KL and Iyer who hv not played any intl cricket in last 5 months?  Even if they are fit, they won't be playing high voltage matches against arch rival Poyzz. They should hv announced a 15 member squad (excluding these 2).

Samson was never gonna play. Chahal yes i just noticed but he is one of the worst international spinners so i guess will make the fans happy. The rest all are included. No surprses like Arshdeep or Mukesh.

What's the point of 4 specialist fast bowlers plus Pandya for an ODI tournament in Asia? Bishnoi should have been there instead of Prasidh or Shami..

They said Iyer is 100% fit. KL got some other injury at this moment.

Arshdeep is a t20 specialist and a trundler. Does not hv the stamina to bowl in a 50 over game.   Mukesh is similar trundler.

Do I dare believe mine eyes?  Did they actually drop a specialist spinner for a specialist fast bowler for a tournament in Asia?  Very impressive.
