Both Iyer and Kishan played horrendous shots to gift their wickets. Kohli got beaten in channel a few times but that's usual. Pakistani openers don't go for outrageous shots, I see them surviving on that track. Yes. But kohli's catch was dropped by Marsh when we were 20/3. That was the simplest of catches. Having said that, I still feel Pak vs SA is 50:50. This SA unit looks like a different beast and hv the hunger to win, Unlike the previous sides. Not scared to lose kinda attitude. Anyways, we shall find out soon. Edited October 15, 2023 by Frustrated
cricspirit Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 AUS- PAK ENG - SA PAK - SA AUS - NZ AUS - ENG These are the games that will matter for the final 4 Semi Final spots. For sure another upset like AFG-ENG can happen but I am not really looking forward to it as I cant figure out which game that will be.
the don Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Just now, the don said: Srl can beat Australia too. If the ball turns
Norman Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Any game that doesn't feature Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. This Afghan win today was a once in a tournament event..normal service will resume now with these 4 teams handing their rear ends to the top 6 sides on a platter every game. Number 1
kubrickian Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Chennai wicket is not always spin friendly. The pitch for the NZ Vs BD match had lot of pace, bounce and carry. Ferguson pretty much bowled only short deliveries throughout his spell. A little bit of grass on the wicket can make any pitch conducive to pace. Norman 1

Dropped by Marsh, got hit on his head by Starc, then got out playing one against Aus and couldn't even put Trundler Hasan Ali away and got out. Even against Naveen ul Haq he skied one which fell in no man's area. Hoping it is nothing serious. Frustrated 1
Number Posted October 15, 2023 Author Posted October 15, 2023 NZ vs Afghanistan is also in Chennai. In fact NZ's next 3 games Afghanistan(Chennai)-India-Australia If they lose all 3, it will put them in tight spot.

I think it will be a dull one sided game , like the one we had India-Pak game . India has been too good for Pak and Pak is way ahead of Afghanistan. Edited October 16, 2023 by First class

bsriharsha Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 With Afghanistan proving capable of rolling England over , other teams will take them more seriously and hence will be difficult for Afghans to repeat the feat.

Bangladesh beating Pakistan Ireland beating Pakistan Who knows Afghans might spin a web against Pak batters courtesy of their superior spin bowling attack, match is in Chennai mind you, which is one of the most spin friendly pitches in India.

Maybe not beating them but they seem to match up well enough and care enough yo run you close very often, something they don't manage against other teams.

Nikhil_cric Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Remaining matches between Top 6 sides. Also, PAK vs AFG and PAK vs BD
Mariyam Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 I would like an India vs Afghanistan or India vs NZ final. With India winning it all. Number 1
