The annual rhetoric makes an appearance.  Maybe he should have this on his tombstone

He is not wrong if that was his only statement. This guy also is full of himself, he thinks he was the only player who played for the country with passion.

Dhoni is one lucky SOB, he always got the credit for wins but he never got any flak for terrible losses under his captaincy.

Iska khunnus abhi tak nikla nahin?

because Dhoni sidelined him after a spate of poor form ( post 2011 lords test where he had a concussion).. he went to aus in 2012 and then dhoni said only 2 of sehwag sachin and viru shall play.india were hammered 4-0 and didnt qualify for tri series final... then india lost against england in home test series ( 2012 Nov) and Viru and Gambhir completely lost their slots in all format.. dhoni decided to bring in shikhar dhawan in odi s and paired him with Rohit in top of the order and then came CT 2013 and rest is history... Gambhir's grudge is he never got a second chance ( though Kohli gave him a chance in 2016 test series against England as ae tribute to his man of the match dedication against lanka i suppose)

He was a very limited player who had few good years mainly against weaker teams and at home.

2007 t20 final and 2011 odi worldcup final contributions can't be overlooked.

That 2007 finals was won due to bowlers, yes he was highest scorer.Compare the SR of Imran Nazir in the finals if he was not run out, India was not winning that match.

Pakistan gifted that match with their mistakes it just shows you need luck to win these tournaments.

2011 was a great world cup final innings. He also played well in Qfs .

Bhajji, Gauti, all these guys carry some kind of grudge. I think Gauti probably thought MSD would hand over his MOM award to him lol in the final. One 4 away from winning the MOM.

Yes, succinctly put. My point is the GG has not gotten over those grudges, even after a decade. Very vengeful character

Dhoni himself had a WC to forget up untill that point

So naive of Gambhir if he thought Dhoni would hand him his MOM of WC final

He will be remembered for winning us the only test in 2008 ( and also the second ever test series win) against newzealand away in last 40 years. napier masterclass
