These rankings are meaningless....Gill flopped in this world cup when much more was expected from him. Indian batting is still all about Rohit and Kohli.

He's been ok. Not complete flop. Has had a couple of 50s and some decent starts.

Hope he does something in the KOs.

How is 2 fifties in 6 games a flop?

Gill's ceiling is higher. He should be among the Top 10 run scoring batsmen. He can still redeem himself if he plays well in knockouts.

Yes considering his ability...more was expected from him. After the starts Rohit gave, he had the option to stats paddle without pressure but failed to do so. Only against Pakistan he looked good and that too for a short time.

Looked good against almost everyone tho except Eng. Pak, NZ, SA as well. Pak and NZ lost on the slog.

Hopefully statpads against Netherlands to get ready for KO.

A small matter of losing a lot of body strength (lost 4 kilos) due to Dengue. That he was not ruled out thus allowing the TM to go ahead with their plan A is to his credit. Could he have done better? Sure, but let's put things in perspective.

Exactly. Gill is now no1 despite his performance speaks about rankings.

Gill had terrific season before he got sick. There is a reason why he is number one in rankings , just like Siraj.

Both of them have not delivered  big during world cup yet.Let us hope their best is yet to come and we will see them in knock outs.
