So Sai Sudarshan can bowl as well. He may be in the long run can be back up for Gill/Jaiswal.

Sai is a very good batter, we have so many white ball options but the pipeline of young batters who can contribute in the longer formats is actually not that great.

Frankly, I dont see him as a T20 batter like, he looks to me as someone who can be a solid option in Tests & ODI's.

Definitely not a T20 guy. But he steps up in crucial games more often than not.

Some good matches today

Delhi vs Karnataka..the 3 "V's" of Karnataka stopped Delhi at 145.

Rajasthan vs Rinkuless UP. Tyagi picks up 3 wickets.

Punjab stopped MP at 177, Abhishek Sharma 2 wickets.

TN deflated Bengal at 84..Warrier 4 wickets

Haryana 295-6 in 40 overs vs Chandigarh...Tewatia 58(34)* with 6 sixes. Bawa got 1 wicket but gave away too many runs.

Akash Sengupta got a 5er as Assam (minus Riyan Parag) demolished Andhra, bundling them out for 112 and chasing it down with more than 25 overs to spare.

Tripura posted 258/8 against Saurashtra, who failed to get even half as many in reply, bowled out for 110. 5 wickets for 18 year-old JH Deb, who took 5/15 from 6.4 overs.

Unfortunately, both have Bengali-sounding names and come from the North-East on top of that. That is two strikes against them as far as the BCCI is concerned, who will almost certainly waste both their careers.

Forget Agarkar...even the so called "sports journalists" had no idea. Sums up how much they are into "sports".

There is no journalism left in Sports, all these jurnos are just watching the Intnl or IPL and reviewing/making post match comments.

No one is following the Domestics forget about going to grounds and writing reports from there.

Agarkar might not even know about his existence

Ankola the selector did attend the matches where he played. Also even if there is no selector, BCCI has given Umpires the responsibility to identify any good talent from junior to senior level. They report about the talented players directly to board.

Ankola was busy stuffing lunch in his mouth with his wife during the matches. It seemed like he is there to enjoy Mussorie instead of matches

Also, it doesn't make sense if only selector sees such matches. Atleast 2 or 3 selectors must be present during SMT, VHT quarter final onwards.
