Fair enough, if you are not convinced with ability to play spin, but still a very small sample size.

 

Besides I think he is too good a player to not be able iron out a few issues playing spin, he is still pretty young.

Pant did it in the 2020-21 BGT. Post that had some wonderful 100s in England and South Africa plus some at home. Also had cracked ODIs in the Eng series in 2022.

 

Gill has been okay in tests and very good in ODIs. I think this 2023-24 season is when he will do the jump. Siraj also has similar trajectory (debuted in the same test). Okayish in tests and very good in ODIs. Even I see him doing the jump in this one year.
